Kewl @ MindSay

Why I Nearly Spewed Tea on My Computer

This morning, after a conference call, I received an email with an attachment from one of the board members on a group I support.  He'd been on the board for six years, termed off, and has now been re-elected.  He's a Ph.D., and serves as an administrative director for a hospital in San Diego.  Here's how part of our email exchange went:

Ph.D. - "It was great reconnecting.  I look forward to seeing you soon."

Me - "Got it!  Thanks!"

Ph.D. - "kewl"

Now, the cup of tea was on its way to my mouth as I opened this email.  And the image of this 50-ish fellow typing out "kewl" actually made me LOL.  (No, I did not literally say, "LOL."  Though I've been present when one of my friends did.)

Anyway...  I responded with the only suitable reply:  "Word."

Have you tried Clipmarks yet?

(link back for visitors from Our Enchanted Garden )

Well if you haven't tried it yet and if you enjoy gathering together little snippets of information from the internet and in particular if you like sharing these great finds with others then you might want to explore it further!

The system works so-o-o-o-o-o intuitively I was already clipping and doing things within a few moments after setting up the account!

What a useful and fun to use new kewl tool for internet surfers and the curious alike.

Don't believe me; heck even Borat has an account and several weird and wonderful clips! honest! I didn't believe it till I read them all and nearly ripped my sides in laughter! Which is real tough when recovering from pneumonia let me tell you! he! he! :D

Here's a link to my own clipmarks page you're welcome to check it out, though I've only started. Even better, just go directly to the website at  http://www.clipmarks.com and check them out for yourself. There's even a fun demo that helps explain what it's all about and how to download and install the toolbar items that make it work sweet as honey, smooth as silk!

I use Mozilla's Firefox browser (which I LOVE!) so for me it was a cinch, it may be trickier with other systems and configurations but that's up to you to explore and discover - good luck with that and, hey, have fun clipping!

I've been having a ball exploring all the clips other people have been making - and I can even leave comments with other clippers about content that's collected! What a blast, really!

And it turns out they are fellow Flickr members too so go figure - it really is a small world - even on the internet!
Here's a link to their Flickr photo page which highlights the Firefox "recommended add ons list" which was the notice that led me to this great new tool!

What a crazy, zany, kewl world we live in! It's getting better all the time! ;)

Slideshow testing... RockYou is a cool application!
What fun! Saw the slide shows others have done - DotCom's - WOW! Top Notch work!
and thought I'd give them a try for a special project I'm working on and MindSay may be the safest, most accessible place to put it for viewing. (not all my friends can access these types of features but I'm learning it depends on where they're loaded too!)

But, hey, here goes; Note I have a few more colours to add to this show so bear with me as I continue to develop it... In the meantime... this is a test.... this is only a test...a colourful one at that!

Hope it's enjoyable for you, even as it's being worked up!
There are 12 Rays in total and eventually I will get them all up in this slideshow.

Way too cool - I'm so glad others shared that we might all find this GREAT application!

I finished my gis project!

So.... as I already stated in my subject title, I did indeed finish my independent project for gis... and now... because I am so so kind, I am going to show everyone my astonishingly beautiful map.

Note: due to resizing/image distortion problems, I am going to paste the url for my map instead of just putting it on here. So, yeah you have to do work and click on a link to see what it looks like, but it's well worth it!
