Kelly Clarkson @ MindSay

While on the road back from Ohio earlier today, I heard over the radio that Kelly Clarkson cancelled her upcoming summer tour. Figures that the first time I'd ever see her in concert, the thing'd be cancelled. And the reasons for the cancellation are really upsetting - apparently ticket sales were less than what was expected. Though word is that the tour is likely to be rescheduled, but in smaller arenas. Suck suck suck.

I'm still picking up my copy on the 26th, right before work so I can listen to the album all day. I've also pre-ordered the album on iTunes 'cause I think they're offering extras that might not be on the store-released copy. 

And I've heard a rumor going around that Kelly dedicated the album to a huge fan who recently died (founder of the Kelly Clarkson Express), and says so in the liner notes. If this is true, my fangirlish love for KC shot up 50 bazillion points. She's as grateful and dedicated to her fans as we are to her. :) Still bummed about possibly not seeing her this summer, though. :(

She's baaaack: "Never Again" video with Kelly Clarkson.

Love it, especially when she's in the backseat of the Mustang (awesomely hot car, btw) screaming in the guy's ear. Raaaar AngryKelly. Very edgy. And I know who the guy is that she's singing about... sucks to be him!

I have to admit, I wasn't all too sure about this song when it was released, but it's definitely grabbed my attention now. I've found myself singing it in my head every now and then... I guess that's a sure-fire way to tell I like a song. :)

Can't wait to hear the rest of the album. And I've decided that when she goes on tour to promote the new album I will be going to see her if she stops in the greater Philadelphia/New Jersey/Central PA area. I've been a fan of hers since her "American Idol" days and yet haven't seen her in concert (I'm not counting the "American Idol" tour).

ETA: Woot! Michelle has informed me that Kelly is, in fact, coming to Philadelphia this summer. Upon further research, the date is August 14, and tickets go on sale this Saturday. WHO WANTS TO COME WITH ME?!

I was cold walking the trail today.  I know that sounds ridiculous, this being Phoenix and all, but the wind was really blowing and it was cold.  I kept my jacket on the entire hike, and I was still cold because my nipples were standing at attention the entire time.  Damn nipples!  My muscial accompaniment today was Kelly Clarkson, and I do not want any opinions regarding my musical tastes.  Her Breakaway cd is excellent to hike and exercise to, at least it is for me.  It very easy to keep a quick rhythm to it, and it alternates nicely between a slow pace and fast pace, which is great for those in between hilly areas.  I hope everyone had a great day!
