Myspace is okay as far as talking to friends that you "already" know. But this guy I know, Mike, haven't heard from him in a while. We both went to Aquinas last year, 9th grade, then we both left to different schools. But he found me on there through mutual friends and messaged me. We went back and forth a few times and then I got this one that said
"yo karl, you still writing all yur idealistic articles and stuff, you wrote some powerful shit man"
This one got me mad a little. Not at him but at myself and others. Last year I used to write a bunch of political stuff, nothing racist or politically wrongful. But I made some good arguments and such. I pointed out some problems and offered reasonable solutions that people seemed to like. Then I came to the thoughts of yesterday that surrounded me when the Principles and teacher/staff that made up the editors (not the student ones, they were for it) they called my article "racist" which is like calling me such because you call my beliefs and standards racist... Racist? Bigoted? NO! no one in their right mind thought it was just because they didn't agree with me. Everyone I had read this saw nothing against it to say opposing. I was astonished. Only these teachers/ principle. And then later I was told that my last one about "the patriot act" shouldn't have been published. "Why?" I asked. What they told me in response to this was "It was going against the president." Going against the president? Isn't that what the press and first amendment title us to? And that track of them attacking me through criticism was the start of my less prolific stage.
Way to peel the scab and pour salt on it.
