4/4/1988:
The Kansas Jayhawks defeated the Oklahoma Sooners 83-79 to win the NCAA Championship. Coach Larry Brown's team finished with a record of 27-11. Danny Manning had 31 points and 18 rebounds. He was named the tournament MOP. Milt Newton scored 15 and Kevin Pritchard scored 13.
4/5/2003:
#6 Kansas beats #11 Marquette 94-61 in the Final Four. KU is 30-7. Keith Langford scored 23. Kirk Hinrich and Aaron Miles both scored 18. Michael Lee scored 13. Nick Collison added 12 points and 15 boards.
4/5/2008:
#4 KU beats #1 North Carolina 84-66 in the Final Four. KU is 36-3. Brandon Rush had 25 points and 7 rebounds. Darnell Jackson scored 12. Mario Chalmers and Sherron Collins each scored 11. Darell Arthur had 6 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Cole Aldrich had 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks.
4/7/2003:
#6 Kansas falls to #12 Syracuse 81-78 in the NCAA Championship. KU finished 30-8 and were Big 12 Champs in the final season under Roy Williams.
4/7/2008:
#4 KU beats #3 Memphis 75-68 in overtime to capture the NCAA Championship. It is KU's third NCAA title. Darrell Arthur had 20 points and 10 boards. Mario Chalmers had 18 points and 4 steals. He hit the game-tying 3 to send it into overtime. He was named the MOP of the NCAA Tournament. Brandon rush had 12 points and 6 rebounds. Sherron Collins had 11 points, 6 assists and 3 steals.
