Will I ever be able to wear my KU gear again?

4/4/1988:

The Kansas Jayhawks defeated the Oklahoma Sooners 83-79 to win the NCAA Championship. Coach Larry Brown's team finished with a record of 27-11. Danny Manning had 31 points and 18 rebounds. He was named the tournament MOP. Milt Newton scored 15 and Kevin Pritchard scored 13.

4/5/2003:

#6 Kansas beats #11 Marquette 94-61 in the Final Four. KU is 30-7. Keith Langford scored 23. Kirk Hinrich and Aaron Miles both scored 18. Michael Lee scored 13. Nick Collison added 12 points and 15 boards.

4/5/2008:

#4 KU beats #1 North Carolina 84-66 in the Final Four. KU is 36-3. Brandon Rush had 25 points and 7 rebounds. Darnell Jackson scored 12. Mario Chalmers and Sherron Collins each scored 11. Darell Arthur had 6 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Cole Aldrich had 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks.

4/7/2003:

#6 Kansas falls to #12 Syracuse 81-78 in the NCAA Championship. KU finished 30-8 and were Big 12 Champs in the final season under Roy Williams.

4/7/2008:

#4 KU beats #3 Memphis 75-68 in overtime to capture the NCAA Championship. It is KU's third NCAA title. Darrell Arthur had 20 points and 10 boards. Mario Chalmers had 18 points and 4 steals. He hit the game-tying 3 to send it into overtime. He was named the MOP of the NCAA Tournament. Brandon rush had 12 points and 6 rebounds. Sherron Collins had 11 points, 6 assists and 3 steals.  

3/30/1940:

Kansas lost to Indiana 60-42 in the NCAA Championship Game. KU finished 19-6 under Coach Allen. They were Big 6 Co-Champs.

3/30/1952:

Kansas beats Southwest Missouri 92-65 in the Olympic Playoffs.

3/30/1991:

KU defeated North Carolina 79-73 in the Fianl Four.

3/30/2002:

#2 KU falls to #4 Maryland 97-88 in the Final Four. KU finished 33-4 under Coach Williams. That included a 16-0 record in conference play. The only team in Big 12 Conference history to go undefeated.

3/30/2008:

#4 KU defeated Davidson 59-57 to advance to the Final Four. KU is 35-3. KU will be making a Final Four trip for the 13th time. Mario Chalmers scored 13. Sasha Kaun had 13 points and 6 rebounds. Brandon Rush had 12 points and 7 boards.

3/29/1986:

KU falls to Duke in the Final Four by a score of 71-67. KU finished the season 35-4 under Coach Brown. They were Big 8 Champs.

3/29/2003:

#6 KU beats #2Arizona 78-75 in the Elite 8. KU is 29-7. KU is going to the Final Four for the 12th time. Win # 1,800 for the Jayhawks all-time. Kirk Hinrich scored 28 points. Jeff Graves had 13 points and 15 rebounds. Keith Langford scored 13.

3/28/1936:

KU falls to Utah State 50-31 in the Olympic Playoffs. KU finished 21-2 and were Big 6 Champs.

3/28/2004:

#18 KU falls to Georgia Tech 79-71 in overtime in the Elite 8. KU finished with a record of 24-9 in Coach Self's first season. 

3/18/2008:

#4 KU beats Villanova 72-57 in the third round of the NCAA Tournament. KU is 34-3. Brandon Rush scored 16. Russell Robinson had 15 points and 5 assists. Mario Chalmers scored 14. Sasha Kaun had 9 points, 7 boards and 3 blocks.
