As Canada Day fast approaches, I’m reminded of a very funny conversation between Aubree and Jenn. First of all, to those of you non-Canadians out there, Canada Day is July 1st. This conversation took place in late August. Both Jenn and Aubree are Canadian.
It went something like this:
Jenn: So did you want to go to Canada Day with us?
Aubree: What?
Jenn: Canada Day. Did you want to go with us?
Aubree: You mean next year?
Jenn: (Slightly exasperated) No, we want to go to Canada Day next weekend.
Aubree: Go where? What?
Jenn: (Rather exasperated) CANADA DAY!! Did you want to go with us?
Aubree: I don’t understand.
Jenn: (Very exasperated) What don’t you understand?
Aubree: Canada Day was over a month ago.
Jenn: (Rather annoyed) What? What do you mean?
Aubree: Canada Day. It was over a month ago.
Jenn: Oh!! Sorry! I mean Canada’s Wonderland. Did you want to go?
Canada’s Wonderland is a theme park.
The funniest part of this is that Jenn was really getting angry because Aubree wasn’t understanding what she was saying. This is my favourite story to tease Jenn about.
