Sept. 5, 2008 - USS Mount Whitney pulled into port here today, transporting humanitarian relief supplies in support of "Operation Assured Delivery." The delivery is part of the larger U.S. response to the Georgian government's request for humanitarian assistance after the conflict with Russian forces last month.

 

Mount Whitney will deliver more than 17 tons of aid, including 4,000 blankets donated by the U.S. Agency for International Development, juice, powdered milk and hygiene products.

 

In the past few weeks, USS McFaul and U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Dallas carried more than 115 tons of humanitarian supplies to the port in Batumi, Georgia, while U.S. Navy C-9, C-40 and C-130 aircraft flew 20 continuous missions airlifting 325 tons of humanitarian aid into the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.

 

USS Mount Whitney has a hybrid crew of U.S. Navy sailors and civilian mariners, and is home-ported in Gaeta, Italy.

My mom recently got my brother and I a juicer.  It's a fancy one that separates the pulp out so you can put apples complete with skins in them and stuff. 

After a week, I'm really not seeing the point in it.  I could understand if this thing was meant to make juice a pitcher at a time, but the spout is too low for that to happen.

Seriously, why do these people expect me to cut up a couple apples into quarters, feed the pieces in one at a time, disassemble the machine, run the pieces through the dishwasher, then reassemble it all for one glass of apple juice? 

He stands there, pouring a drink of blackcurent and apple juice into a glass. He hears an adible 'click' that seemed to come from the base of the glass, it sounded vaugley like the glass just cracked. He picks the glass up to determine whether he should just drink it quickly and throw out the glass. As the glass raised so that he could investigate it the entire base fell out of the glass, spreading blackcurrent and apple juice everywhere for a couple of meters in radius.....

 

Fuck my life frustrates me at times.....
