2005 Versus 2008: Men I'm Crushing
That was then.

This is now:
  1. Chilly/Huzband
  2. Jon Stewart
  3. Joss Whedon
  4. Johnny Depp
  5. Sir Ian McKellen
  6. Seth Green
  7. Jack Black
  8. Scott Mosier
  9. This Guy (look at that photo!)
Tom Welling is no longer on my list. Sorry, Tom. You're still hot. I would still do ya but I don't know if it'd be a pity-do. You see, it's not you. It's me. I've gone a different path than you. We both knew it would happen one day.
Also, Kevin Smith's luster is gone. It's his podcast. I grew too frustrated at his belligerent ignorance. On the flip side, I've added Scott Mosier to the list because he is incredibly funny and I appreciate his humbleness. I still enjoy and respect Kevin Smith's work and would include it in the "Work I'm Crushing"-list. Unlike Tom Welling's "Smallville". Season 5 (+) have sullied the entire Welling-experience. But listen to me; mwo-woh-wun-woa-wunnn. I'm droning on with an unimportant opinion about quasi-famous to famous people as if it matters. Why, yes. Yes. I am a blogger.

While I'm here, I have to say thanks. I know I'm loved. There are so many recent inbox-blog entries with my name involved that make me feel famous. They are like hugs. It's reciprocated, believe me.

Go Ahead and Sing-Along - It's Even In the Title
The soundtrack to "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" is available now on iTunes.  It's several flavors of awesome, so I think you'll find something to like in it.

Looking back over my years of blogging here, I see that I have devoted a large number of entries to promoting things to you.  I'm going to try to limit my promotion posts going forward to things I really, really enjoy.  Dr. Horrible is one of these things.

She'll Always Be My Girl
Rerunning on the Biography channel right now is a biography on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".  The biography focuses on the show, not the character.  It's a mini documentary about the struggle to rebound from the terrible movie and how successful the Buffy "world" still is today, several years after the show went off the air.

If you are a huge fan of the show, you'd enjoy the biography on it, despite getting almost no new information out of it.  If you are not yet a fan of the show, don't watch the biography.  While it may convince you that BtVS is an amazing show still worth watching, all of the major surprises of the show are given away.  I admit that it would be a pretty lame episode of Biography if they didn't discuss the important plot points, but if you are an unspoiled viewer that is still planning to watch, you had better stay away.

Despite already knowing practically everything and having to frequently roll my eyes as extremely major plot points were handed out like free candy, I was surprised at how moved I was by this Biography presentation and the short excerpts from the show.  I choked up when Buffy ____ __ ____ Angel.  My eyes were damp when Buffy ______ _____ __________ ______ and I lost all composure when Buffy _____________ _________ ____ Dawn.  I dried my face and smiled hugely when clips from "Once More With Feeling" were shown.  I had a huge lump in my throat when creator Joss Whedon said, "I didn't create Buffy to be a television show.  I created Buffy to be an icon."

I haven't watched my Buffy DVDs in years.  I'm watching new television and catching up on some other classic shows that I didn't give enough attention to when they originally aired.  Despite continuing to proclaim that Buffy is my all-time favorite show, I have questioned that in the last couple years.  I was totally obsessed with "Firefly" during it's brief run and I adore current shows "Battlestar Galactica" and "The Office".  Are one of these amazing series my all-time favorite show?  My emotional reactions to what amounts to nothing more than a well-produced clip show answered that question for me.  BtVS will always be my favorite show.
