Johnny Depp @ MindSay

Hello!!!
I got a haircut! It's nothing drastic, but it's layered a bit and smell's nice.

I haven't blogged in a while, but I haven't done much but sit at home and stress about the school work I'm not doing. I have seen some movies, though! Four of them were Johnny Depp movies. I've seen so many of his movies that I feel like I know him!
Movies:
Strangers on a Train - This is a classic movie from 1951, directed by Alfred Hitchcock, Master of Suspense.
Secret Window - 2004. A Johnny Depp movie. I really love this movie. It's a very scary psychological thriller, and it has a twisted plot. I like that type of thing.
Aguirre: The Wrath of God - 1972. This is directed by the German director Werner Herzog, who directed the 1979 Nosferatu movie, and it stars the same actor, Klaus Kinski. It was made with a VERY low budget and filmed entirely on location in the South American rain forest.
The Ninth Gate - 1999. Johnny Depp. Some parts of this movie were interesting, because there is a mystery in it about a book which can summon Satan, and quite a few murders, but on the whole I found the plot confusing, vague and unsatisfying, and I didn't feel an emotional tie to the story because none of the characters were very likable. Also, the disc was really scratched so I had to keep ejecting it and putting it back in.
Cry-Baby - 1990. One of Depp's earliest films, it is a bizarre musical comedy set in the 1950's. (It's not actually him singing, though.)
The Astronaut's Wife - 1999. Another thriller, starring Depp and Charlize Theron. It's also quite suspenseful.

I really liked most of these movies. I wish I could just sit in my house and watch movies every day, but I guess that's not possible. I'll blog again soon!

"Alice" trailer!
The Alice in Wonderland teaser trailer has been released! I'm very excited which shows what a nerd I am.
You can find it on YouTube or johnnydepp-zone.com.

In the trailer you get to hear the Mad Hatter's voice, which is very strange, as you can imagine.

Alice in Wonderland
Hello!
I'm finally back from my rather lovely time in Great Britain. I did an amazing amount of stuff every day there, so it's nice to be able to relax. On my trip I got to finally make my pilgrimage to the site of Sweeney and Mrs. Lovett's shops on Fleet Street.

More very exciting news! (For me, anyway.) The first official pictures are here of Tim Burton's upcoming 3D movie Alice in Wonderland!!!!!!!!!!! From what I have heard of the story, it is not the same as the book, and concerns Alice returning to Wonderland when she is older. The movie stars many of my favorite actors (Johnny Depp, Alan Rickman, Helena Bonham Carter). Also, Burton and Bonham Carter's two young children, who are very cute, will make a cameo. The film already looks brilliant, and I look forward to the seventh collaboration of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. Better yet, the film will open March 5, 2010, just six days before my birthday, and 20 years since the two of them began working together. Therefore, I plan for my party to be a movie marathon of their films which will commence in going to see Alice in Wonderland. So, here are two pictures of characters from the movie.

This is (obviously) Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. Isn't he scary? Isn't he awesome? He sort of looks like a handsome, yet deranged clown. I especially like his orange hair and yellow eyes.

And here is the lovely Ms. Bonham Carter as the Red Queen. She also looks quite bizarre in a really cool away. Her head is digitally enlarged. And apparently, her character is evil.

Tell me what you think of these pictures! Personally, I think the way these characters look is genius.
I'm also going to see Public Enemies pretty soon, so I'll tell you guys how Depp did.

JOHNNY DEPP!
A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JOHNNY DEPP!

Johnny Depp is one of my idols. He is an intelligent individual, a very, very talented actor, a bizarre yet kind person, and rather good looking, yet not an actor to use his looks to his advantage. He also has a beautiful and emotional singing voice. I love how versatile, strange and oddly touching his acting is. He seems like someone I could be friends with, and I respect him and his work beyond words. I love him, but in a respectful and admiring way, not a creepy way.

To celebrate his 46th birthday today, my sister and I baked him a chocolate cake-mix cake with chocolate icing. It had many random candles on it, including a 4 and a 6. My whole family sang to Johnny, and then we ate his cake. My siblings and I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, a movie I never tire of, and I listened to the songs Mr. Depp sings in Sweeney Todd. I hope he has a lovely birthday. I send him all my best wishes for the future.

Just call me Allison

I love John Waters movies!  The original Hairspray was too cool for school and if I had been in Cry Baby I soooo would have been like the Allison character when I was younger!  Just call me a Scrape!  LOL... Square on the outside and Drape on the inside.

Enjoy, All you Hepcats and Cool Chicks!
