Jennifer Aniston @ MindSay

If any of you have an extra $28 million burning a hole in your pocket, the house lived in by Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston is now on the market. :)

This morning I went to the supermarket to buy some items that we needed.  While waiting on line, (which was forever because the computer was actng up), I stood there and saw Jennifer Anistons's face plastered on almost every magazine.  I turned to my daughter and said, "This poor girl."  She turned with a puzzled expression and asked "Why do you say that?"  and I replied, "Because I remember when your father did it to me and everytime I stepped into the church, mall, or supermarket...someone was there to tell me they had bumped into him with THAT OTHER WOMAN AND THEY WERE PLAYING HOUSE WITH MY KIDS ETC, ETC...."  I looked at my daughter and gave her this illustration: "Every time someone came and volunteered their information, it was as if they were pealing the scab off a wound  making it bleed once gain."  Now why do people think that painful information like that is of any use?  It's pretty sadistic. These tidbits of info. were not going to resolve anythng and it wasn't going to make me a better person, so why serve up a plate of pain with humiliation on the side? 

Break ups are very, very painful.  Add to this the fact that you are a celebrity and it must be overwhelming.  You can't turn on the telelvision or watch a movie for a little diversion...because guess what?!  These are their circle of friends.  I remember that I spent alot of time watching movies and listening to music to try to forget the utter devastation I was feeling.  (To make matters worse, he left me when I was three months preganant and we already had three at home and one that I was raising.  So now I had since I was a SAHM, I had no income, five kids and my future was uncertain.)  Yup, break ups really suck.  At least Jennifer can say she still looks good, she still has her career and she has money.  More than most can say after a break up, but think about how horrible it must be.  She sees this woman on the cover of most magazines trying to rub the situation in her face.  You know what, we all take solace in comparisons...but in this situation it is very difficult to do so.  As humans we take comfort in saying things like : I am more successful,  prettier, taller, skinnier and on and on.  Fortunately, we all now all that glitters is not gold.  I used to love Angelina Jolie, loved to watch her in diferent roles...now I think her selfish and cruel inside makes her outside ugly.  Yeah, I said it.  Beware, just like Alycia Keyes song proclaims...karma will catch up with you and "what goes up must come down.".  Life has a way of setting things into perspective and balancing the scales. 

So, I hope that the media gives Ms. Aniston some slack and lets her recuperate.  If she is America's sweetheart, then leave her alone and let her heal.  She doesn't need to be hounded, she knows that he is involved with this woman and that is enough.  Maybe if people stopped buying these magazines they will stop hounding her and let her be..for a little while.  At least, most of us were able to play background and be able to gather our thoughts and pick up the pieces.  As for him, if he did it once....he will do it again.  Trust me, in my employment I have seen it time and time again. 

So, if by any chance Jennifer Aniston comes across this , know that many people are rooting for you and this too shall pass.  Take the time you need to heal, surround yourself with all the people that love you and will help you grow from this.  I wish you even more success in your future!
