Jeep @ MindSay

for three days now and it has already been vandalized.....sort of. Some jerk riped the cardboard plates off the back my jeep.....what the fuck?! I never talk to anyone so I don't have any enemys except one person which I doubt it was him that would be really f'd up and I don't think he dislikes me that much.....So I could get a ticket now....hooray! man my week has been a rollercoaster of good and bad.....when do I get back to the mellow?

Wierd too, I know we just spoke about the possibility of moving to England next year but we needed something larger. Friday the subject of looking at a Jeep Compass came up and we planned to go out Sat. and test drive one and see if it was even possible. Today we ended up doing just that, though and the next thing we knew we were driving it home. Hubby loves it, I just need to get him a bobble head to go w/ it like in the commercials

Because I am done with my HW early, and because I am bored.... I shall blog.

I got my new car. I am positively in LOVE with it. I don't think people understand though. I think most people think I'm pretty riduculous for getting a new car. I get a lot of "why?'" and "how can you afford that?" and "what's wrong with your truck?". I get very few "that's awesome"s and even less "ooooh i want to see/ride in it". So what if this is the most exciting part of my life right now. Some people have parties, boyfriend/girlfriends, anniversaries, bars and what not. I have a Jeep Liberty that makes me happy and that's what matters. It is a pretty amazing machine. It has the Mercedes Common Road Diesel engine and as soon as I find the best place to buy biodiesel, I will be running it on that as often as I can. Can people with boyfriends/girlfriends say that their relationships save the environment? No, I don't think so. It is also a turbo so it can "get up and go." I aslo swear that there are various parts of the car that hit at a smiley face like the head lights and bumpers or the air vents and the CD player. It makes me smile.

Ok, now that I have professed my undying love for my vehicle, I move on to the rest of my life..... oh wait..... noting else exciting is going on..... LOL

We are back home from the cruise, and what a great cruise it was. The weather was great and the ocean was calm all week. We should have enough stuff to blog about for quite a while. We left the port in Ft. Lauderdale on Sunday and arrived in Freeport, Bahamas on Monday. Our shore excursion was a jeep tour of the island. Driving on the left side of the road took some getting used to.

 

 

 We first went to see some dolphins, then some of the local houses, then we went 4 wheeling though the countryside.

 

 

We stopped at a place called a "blue hole" which is a huge vertical cave filled with fresh water on top and salt water down deep. It is connected to the sea which is a few miles away and the water level changes with the tides.

 

 

 Then we hiked through a mangrove swamp.

 

 

There, we saw many fish including Nemo.

 

 

We had lunch on a beautiful beach and spent the afternoon there before driving back to the ship that evening.

Well, I decided to go ahead and get myself an early christmas present this year.  It only costs about $1,000 and will be lots of fun.  Of course the gift I'm talking about is a brand new transmission for my jeep.  Yep, the dirty little bastard decided to die on me.  I guess I hadn't been appreciating my jeep the way it wanted, so I got up close and personal with it as I pushed it a couple of miles to the mechanic.  I should probably fix it myself and save some money, but the professionals will be able to get the work done much quicker than I can.  So for the next few days, I'll have to rely on my back up mode of transport, the bicycle.
