Climate Studies are validating the Gaia Hypothesis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaia_hypothesis) -- only further reason that we must begin to act sustainably.

Do you remember when health studies revealed that humans needed more Omega 3 (a fatty acid found in fish) in their diets? And when results from another study emerged that said our intake of fish should be limited due to dangerous levels of mercury? The mercury found in open-ocean fish is evidence that we're polluting even the farthest reaches of our planet. There was no major public outcry when this information surfaced. We're sacrificing not only our earth, but our bodies as well.
Newest idea:
Carbon budget: Can we develop a system in which we could balance our carbon? Once we get our emissions down to 60%, we can still do what we want to do by budgeting. For instance, if I want to fly to France, maybe I have to car pool or ride a bike for 3 months and lay off meat.
Do you know that if you stopped eating meat for a year you would save as much carbon as you would if you switched fomr a four-wheel drive to a hybrid car?
The most signficant time this weekend was the time that our group shared in the Truth Mandala. During this ceremony, a rod, a pile of leaves, a rock, and a pillow are placed in a circle. They represent anger, sorrow, fear, and any other negative emotions. The group forms a circle around these and, as people feel the urge to talk, they enter the circle, pick up and object, and express how they feel about any issue that is on their mind.
"I was thinking about doing this with my family," Mike said afterward, "and about how our relationships might be changed."

Over the past two days I have constantly been reminded that I share my space with giant arachnids...
But tonight, he and James were wearing very similar outfits (James' dress shirt was yellow, his was a sort of forest green), and I think he heard me comment on the fact that they were even dressed alike, and he came over and was telling me about how he and James were doing interviews for the same job and how the company sorta lumps them (like, telling James he got the callback, and to bring Brian along too), and it was fine... contrary to popular belief and the IRHC gossip ring, I don't HATE Brian. So random.
And then when my meeting let out (which Joanna sat in on, plus 10), I gave James' a high five and then had to walk the long ways around the table, which meant walking by Brian who was talking to various people, and he stuck his hand up for some fiving. He also fived Chris and Ms. Joanna, but I think those were afterthoughts.
Also...Chris is possibly straight? I'm getting new vibes from the child. Oh other jailbait.
I'm going to a Uni ball on Thursday with some friends from High School, very late notice, I only found out this week. I guess that's the benefit of having nothing to do, I'm always available to do something irregardless of the cost! :) It's a James Bond theme, any ideas of what to wear? It's very casual cocktail, not overly costumey.
It's not for my Uni, which is good, I was just invited by my friends, because technically I'm not a student at present. Well, I'm a student on pause...
Oh and I ordered in my new glasses, soooo expensive, but they look good. It's going to cost more and that's mainly because the lenses are so darned expensive. more than expected, and I won't tell you the actual price, because you'll think, mmm, I could've gone away for the week for what those cost, or think of how many seasons of anime or Grays Anatomy I could've bought with that money!
Hence why I haven't bought any for three years... At least we get a small rebate on health cover. I don't get the glasses for another three weeks.
So I'm wearing sunglasses to the James Bond ball, lol.
