Entry 20. [Despairing] --- Oh what the fuck.

Dixie currently feels:

Despairing Smiley

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good things about today:

- We had a fire drill at break, and got 10 minutes extra because of it, hence, missing 10 minutes of Science.

- Science was a piss easy lesson.

- I got my results for my Science resit exam; an A, so I'm quite pleased.

- I got another bit of #1263 artwork finished in the library.

- I came home and played iSketch with Miraan, Adam, Ayshea and Stephen. It was fun, we had laughs.

- I talked to Adam for ages over MSN, sending each other really hilarious sound files.

- I laughed so much at a screenshot from our iSketch game, I almost crapped my pants. - Really, I was totally touching cloth. :)

[Though you may ask what's good about that one, I like to laugh, regardless of the consequences.]

Bad things about today:

- Results of my ICT exam, totally not happy. Two grades lower than I wanted.

- Thus, I have now given up on ICT.

- Thus, making only 3 out of 9 subjects that I still give a shit about.

- Coursework deadlines are indeed, stressing me out.

- I was tired throughout the whole day.

- I cried down my aisle after school, but Sammie comforted me.

- Claire is ignoring me. She seems really angry at me, and I don't know what I've done. I think she doesn't like me anymore.

- Emily isn't back... I haven't heard from her at all. No Mindsay comments, no emails, no anything...

...Where is my darling Emilpops......?

"Highest Score Possible In An Isketch Game" Equation!?
Damn Straight.

I gotta figure out an equation for this. But there are so many variables that it is going to be complicated. If anyone else happens to be a mathwiz, then it would be badass if you tried to create a formula for the relationship between the amount of players in a room, the amount of times you draw, and the amount of people who get your drawing (which directly relates to the number of players in a room).

For those who have never played isketch... it is a pictionary game. There are many games within the actual website... but in the creation of my formula, I'm going to use only the English Easy US rooms (because other rooms have different rules and different point values).

So it is a 10 round game.
Which can have between 2 and 13 players. (It really can only have 10, but if other people are invited the can enter a room filled to capacity. I get the number 13 from the highest amount of players I have ever personally seen in a room).
There is a draw order which is chosen based on the order in which people have entered the room. (For example: If you enter the room when PersonA is drawing, then your turn to draw will be after the next time that PersonA draws). And obviously, the less people in the room, the more times you will be able to draw.
The maximum about of points you can get for guessing the word correctly is 10. The minimum is 5. (So if PersonA gets it first, they will recieve 10 points. Then PersonB guesses the word, so they get 9 points. PersonC gets 8 points... and so on. Until PersonF gets 5 points, then everyone who gets the word after PersonF will get 5 as well.)
If you are drawing the word, then you get a maximum of 15. (10 points for one person getting the word, and then 1 point for every other person who gets it. Until the 5th person gets it, and then you dont gain any more points.)
And if you decide to give hints, then your score when someone gets the word will go down by 2. (1 hint: you'll be given a maximum first score of 8. 2 hints: a maximum of 6 points. 3 hints: a maximum of 4 points. And then after the first person gets it... 1 point is awarded for each other person who gets it until the 5th person guesses correctly.)
So essentially... you recieve the most points when you're the one drawing. And you draw the most when there are less people in the room. But... the less people in the room, the less people who can guess it, and thus the less points you get. So: the more people in the room, the more points you will get for a correctly guessed word that you drew.

All of this would make alot more sense if you play the game. So if you're actually interested in coming up with a formula for the relationship between all the variables, to find the perfect equilibrium of players and oppertunities to draw to recieve the most points possible. Of course, that would be assuming you guessed every word that someone else draws first.

I dunno... that description that I just whipped out... is even confusing me. I'll figure out some equation eventually though...
