Internet Marketing Online Advertising

Internet Marketing Online Advertising

How to Make your Online Advertising Business Produce Money on Internet Marketing.

The success or failure of your Internet marketing business depends largely on the Internet users. If they are interested on the products and services that you are offering for sale, definitely you can expect hundreds to thousands of dollars in revenues from your online business. On the other hand, if they are just too lazy to hear what you want to say and what you are offering, better shut down your personal computer unit and find some other ways of earning money.

As an Internet marketer, you do not want the second scenario to happen to your Internet marketing career. To be the “exception to the rule”, you must attract more web visitors to your site and turn them into long-term clients and build a loyal clientele base. Once you have satisfied such requirements, expect that there is something in return—positive returns, to be specific.

How will you say to Internet users that you need them to keep your online business alive? In fact, you need not to tell them straight to the point that you badly need them. All you need is a clever mind and some online advertising to get them without making them realize that you badly need them.

There are various online advertising methods on the Internet and each method has their product that works better on specific industries. There are huge numbers of individuals and companies operating online who wants to advertise what they have to offer, and there are also huge numbers of individuals and companies on the Internet who are willing to provide some advertising spaces. However, considering that the online advertising market is quite large, it will be inefficient for the advertisers as well as the providers of these online advertising spaces to individually meet and talk about the terms of conditions of advertising.

The individual or company who wish to advertise will certainly contact an online-based advertising company that are willing to provide the space that the advertiser needs as well as distribute their advertisements to different venues on the Internet at the same time.

The more benefits are now towards the online advertising firm. And you are considering an online advertising business.

But before you go, there are several things you need to consider first.

Start to gather a collection of websites or online companies that are willing to place advertisements on their sites. Select sites that are getting high web traffic every month. Once you have gathered advertising site venues, you may now start soliciting advertising clients. These advertisers will pay a certain amount of money that will commensurate with the exposure of their products or services on your advertising site venues. For instance, if you have contracted with 20 websites that are receiving an average of 200,000 web visitors every month, you can sell as much as 2,000,000 advertising exposures every month on each advertiser. In case that you have negotiated around 20 advertising venues on each website, you can sell an equivalent of 20 advertising clients with 2,000,000 advertising exposures every month. If an advertiser only pays for 1,000,000 advertising exposures, you can still sell the remaining 1,000,000 advertising exposures for a total of 11 advertising clients.

Now, what are the types of online advertising that you can offer? Here are some of the offerings that you can sell to individuals or companies who wish to advertise their products or services on the Internet.

• Banner ads- these ads are typically pictorial ads that are commonly viewed on high-traffic sites and includes a hyperlink back to the advertiser’s own site. These are priced according to the number of ads shown. For instance, banner ads can be sold in lots of 250,000 impressions each.
• Sponsorship ads- these ads are commonly larger than banner ads, which sometimes contain considerable amount of text. These are typically placed on high-traffic areas such as ezines or online newsletters. It is priced according to the number of readers of the newsletter or publication in which the ad is placed.
• Pay per click (PPC) ads- these ads are priced according to the number of clicks generated through site visitors, These are commonly text ads, though there are PPC ads that are pictorial-based.

Starting your own online advertising business is another opportunity of earning more money on the Internet marketing industry.

Ways To Start In Affiliate Marketing

The 3 Easiest Ways For Newbies To Start In Affiliate Marketing

With the aid of the Internet, you can almost have everything right at your fingertips. With just a few clicks you get access to thousands and even millions of pieces of information and data on virtually any field of interest. As years pass by, the Internet continuous to effect radical changes in many facets of human endeavors, including commerce. Experts say that the information space, commonly known as the “world wide web,” grows by over a million pages everyday as more and more people utilize the Internet for information, education, entertainment, business and other personal reasons. It doesn’t take a business-oriented individual to realize that this phenomenon can bring about sky-high financial gains. The Internet’s fast-growing popularity in the recent years is surely an opportunity for business that any entrepreneur would not want to miss.

You might be thinking only businessmen can make much money out of the Internet, don’t you? Think again. You too can earn big bucks through the Internet even if you don’t have products to sell and high-profile and established company. How? That is through affiliate marketing. You might have come across these words over the net while surfing. Affiliate marketing is a revenue sharing between a merchant and an affiliate who gets paid for referring or promoting the merchants’ products and services. It is one of the burgeoning industries nowadays because it is proven to be cost-efficient and quantifiable means of attaining great profit both for the merchant and the affiliate and other players in the affiliate program, such as the affiliate network or affiliate solution provider.

Affiliate marketing works effectively for the merchant and the affiliate. To the first, he gains opportunities to advertise his products to a larger market, which increases his chances to earn. The more affiliate websites or hard-working affiliates he gets, the more sales he can expect. By getting affiliates to market his products and services, he is saving himself time, effort and money in looking for possible markets and customers. When a client clicks on the link in the affiliate website, purchases the product, recommends it to others who look for the same item or buys it again, the merchant multiplies his chances of earning. On the other hand, the affiliate marketer benefits from each customer who clicks on the link in his website and who actually purchases the product or avails of the service provided by the merchant. In most cases, the affiliate gets commision per sale, which can be fixed percentage or fixed amount.

If you want to be an affiliate marketer and make fortunes out of the Internet, you may follow the following three most basic and easiest ways to start an effective affiliate marketing program. First is to identify a particular thing you are interested in or passionate about so you won’t be bored and forced to develop your affiliate web site later on. Focusing on a specific area you know very well will help you bring out your best without much risks and effort. You can add a personal touch to your site and give your visitors who are possible buyers an impression that you are an expert in your field. In this way, you gain their trust and eventually encourage them to buy the products you endorse. Next is to look for good paying merchants and products or services related to your interest and create now a website. In choosing the products, you must also consider its conversion rate—the number of visitors-turned-buyers. There are various affiliate networks and affiliate solution providers that can give you info on the most profitable products and best paying merchants. The key here is, be wise enough to choose the right one.

Now that you have decided where to concentrate, have chosen the products to endorse and the merchant you are supporting and have created your own web site with top level domain name and reliable hosting, you are ready to promote. This is a crucial task, since it is through this that you would be able to increase traffic to the business website, sales and of course, profit. In affiliate marketing, it is possible to earn large sums of money in a short span of time especially when you’re endorsing high-priced items. Expensive products are hard to sell; however, with the right marketing strategies and sales techniques, you can draw visitors to the merchant’s site and make them buy the products. How to promote the products, though, would need a separate discussion. Continue to educate yourself by reading books or other articles online about the best advertising techniques.

Keep in mind, there is no facile and quick path towards success. Affiliate marketing may seem very tempting due to numerous encouraging testimonies of merchants and affiliate marketers alike who have benefited from it, but it entails great deal of hard work and persistence. Likewise, you need to be creative, flexible and willing to embrace new ideas to market your partners’ products until you find the perfect strategy that works for a specific market that you are targeting. Neither signing up for an affiliate program nor copying ads and leading others towards the merchants’ site doesn’t guarantee success yet. Many affiliate marketers fail to understand this, so when they don’t make sales, they quit, look for other programs and repeat the same mistake. In the end, they conclude that affiliate marketing is just one of those scams in the Internet. Even as you sleep, you can work your way to great financial success if you employ the right strategies in affiliate marketing. Be creative, be smart and surely, you’ll achieve your goals.

Beware
Obviously, every moron knows not to download direct executables (.exe) from people they don't know or from sites they don't know BLAH BLAH BLAH.

A few other random tips:

1)  There is a surge of .rars going out on RapidShare and MegaUpload that are exactly 1.17 MB (1,170 KB, or about thereof).  If you download this, you will download a Win32 exploit virus.  Currently, forums popular for getting crap to download are being spammed with these virus links.  If you see a .rar file that is 1.17 MB or 1170 KB or 1,170,000 B, or approximately (blah at 1024 conversion), get away from it you idiot.  I don't remember the conversion from .rar to .zip or to .7z, but I do know for this size, a .zip is only slightly larger (maybe up to 2 MB), and a 7z is slightly smaller (maybe about 1.05 MB).  Ignore them.   ***EDIT:  There are also 1.14 MB files, now, and these traverse ALL .rar, .zip, and .7z****  Also, if something is a movie, but it's only, like, a few MBs, regardless of what type (archived [.zip, .rar, etc.] or not [.divx, .mpg, etc.]), it's probably a corrupt file.  A GOOD way of "guessing" the appropriate size of a movie is that 1.0-2.0 MB is approximately 1 minute in length.  So, if you have a 40 minute movie/clip, it should be at LEAST 45 MB in size, most assuredly more.  The same works for music files, too.  Wallpaper-sized and hi-res pictures (that are not .bmp or bitmaps) are usually about 1 MB, too.  Normal pictures and .gifs are generally between 100-500 KB, and then "small" pictures (as well as most .pngs, non-animated .gifs, and .tifs) are usually less than 100 KB.

2)  Also, ESPECIALLY in forums, you are used to seeing your URL have something like "php?" or "search?=" or something with a "?" thrown in there.  Here's the thing--the ? is almost always AFTER whatever, such as in the above examples, which are after "php" and "search," respectively (another example is right here on the Mindsay forums.  www.mindsay.com/forum/posting.php?mode=post&f=12 is what I'm looking at right now to post this).

A lot of interesting SPAM sites just eager to fill your computer up with wonderful things like GATORWARE, their links have a reversal.  That is, you see someone linking to a site that says "?php" instead of "php?"  When you see the ? come right after a /, ignore it.  It is likely a spam site that will crud your cookies with spyware and malware.

3)  For those of us who love to play roms, stay the hell away from RomNation.  RN deliberately puts spyware in all of their files.  Also, be wary of edgeemu.com (some is infected, some is not) and any site that will let you download every known version of the game (you usually get a large .rar, .7z, or .zip of about 5-10 versions of the same game, all with <name> and then things like [U], [!], etc. after them), as most of those are deliberately infected.  GOOD sites that aren't infected are posted on my blog.

4)  KaZaA comes auto-equipped with GatorWare (including the editions you have to pay for).  If you've been infected with GatorWare, you know it's about the most annoying and one of the more dangerous -wares out there.  You usually have to know exactly what you're doing to REALLY get rid of the shit, 'cuz that antivirus/antispyware (even SpyBot, even though SpyBot deliberately searches for GatorWare) isn't going to be getting rid of it.  At all.

-----

As usual, the best antispyware seems to be a combination of SpyBot S&D, AdAware, and whatever Microsoft gives.  Those three can pretty much catch anything.  For VIRUS protection (don't be like most people nowadays and assume your antispyware and antivirus software will take care of the other), I would strongly urge either (they're free) Avast! if you want a strong guard against worms and a very thorough (in what kinds of viruses it can detect and remove) virus destroyer, or AVG if you want an extremely POWERFUL (it will VERY thoroughly scan every individual file on your computer--this program takes a good while to run).

I would strongly NOT recommend using Symantic, which seems to be the most widespread thing out there, especially on universities and peer-based sites (such as weblogs).  Compared to AVG and Avast!, Symantic fails in every possible way, it doesn't really "do" anything to your viruses (it'll remove some instances of it from files or just random files that might be infected, but it won't cure the source), and has recently seen an ugly habit of just not catching anything.  Some of my more computer savvy friends have also noticed Symantic doesn't have any problems gathering information from your computer (without infecting it, so it's not REALLY spyware), particularly if you're using it because your university "recommends it."

Phew.  Long, I know, but worth reading.

Firefox tip #2
There is a useful Firefox addon called Auto Context. At least, I find it useful.  It automatically brings up the context menu when any text is selected.  Usually, I select text because I want to copy it.  So, I need the context menu.

It does present with one annoyance, but I can live with it.  If you are selecting text in a BLOG post to create a link, you don't need the context menu.  But, of course, you get it.  However, you may proceed just as if it hadn't come up and all will be well.
