Wrong
To no one's surprise, I was wrong on two counts in that last blog.  One was the fact that my alarm clock was broken.  It is not, and will continue to serve me well into it's 10 anniversary of us being together.  Second, is that I am able to master the machine in a sleepy stupor.  Wrong, if I were legitimately able to do so, I would have noticed the alarm set to PM as opposed to AM and thus not going off.  Well, whatever.

I really haven't had much to talk about other than alarm clocks today?  What's that you say?  I never talk about anything of value anyways?  Touche.

By the way, one of the things that I absolutely love is a poor text to speech program, where you can just type in whatever you like and the program spits it out for you in a garbled, mechanical voice that mispronounced every syllable.  I used to have a thing on my computer named Bonzi Buddy.  He was a purple monkey that was able to do this.  It was hilarious, to me anyways.  You used to have to spell words uber-phonetically just to get them said correctly.  Otherwise how would we know how much pee niss Joe likes?

My alarm
Apparently my alarm clock is broken.  It hasn't gone off in two days, but I have luckily waken up on time regardless.  However, the horseshoe has to drop regardless, so the time has come for me to go out and get another one.  This is annoying, because for the last 9 years, maybe longer, I have used the same alarm clock.  I am absolutely in tune with getting up and manipulating the damn thing while not even be able to open my eyes yet.  Now I have to learn a new clock, and I don't want to.  Maybe I'll get one of those jazzy am/fm radios.  Who knows?

Planned day off from work

Today was a needed day off.  It is really nice for whatever reason.  I have had days off before but for some reason this one seems better.  Went to bed early last night only to have Mugsy wake me up around 12:30.  So I thought, hey why not get up and watch a little t.v., so I did.  Stayed up till around 3:30 and went back to bed.

My internal alarm clock went off around seven so I stayed in bed listening to the Today Show.  Finally got up to run some errands one of which was renewing my auto registration something I would have to have mailed.  So that is done.  Went to the grocery store and bought my favorite bag of chips, Ruffles sour cream and onion.

Came home and it is beautiful today.  Walked out in the yard to check on the weed killer I applied last week and it looks like it needs another application.

I think I will take a nap later and just relax.   I should be doing some housework but hey, it will be there.

Ugh and Yay
Woke up at midnight and change.   Stayed awake 'til about four.  Fell asleep.

Cartoon  Ranger woke up at half past four.   Got him down again and dozed off again.

Spousal Unit's alarm starts its little jingo at ten 'til five.  I try to get back to sleep. (I was glad I had made his lunch last night -- I couldn't have done a good job this morning.)

Finally manage it around half past five.

Wake up at six because.... My body said so.  Stupid internal clock.  Besides, the coffee pot beeped that it wasn't waiting on me anymore.  I got a cup of coffee.  Mis-measured my sugar. Ew.

Results:  Forgot I was out of rice so nix on my fave breakfast.  Can't type without a million typos.  Made lunch for Cartoon Ranger -- a hot lunch, too -- and spilled it all over the kitchen floor.  Ouch for my feet.   I keep putting off going to the tax office (car registration) because I have a rotten headache in my left eye.  I have to go anyway.  I am not thrilled.

However! It is my parents' anniversary.  Go, Mums and Mr. Fix-All!  :)
