I Love London @ MindSay

Oops, i did it again!

Yes... I'm going back to London again, in May...to see the concert of the Sisters of Mercy! Woohoooo! I'm so happy! I love the band and i love London, so i'll just be in heaven... almost... I'll stay there 4 days... I'll be on my own this time, since Howie will be in the US.

I'll try to get a London library badge to get into and see if i can get interesting and important documents for my paper.

As for my paper... today i found an interesting idea that i need to develop: i think it should become one of the main ideas of the paper, if not the core of it... I'm starting to see better into it, that makes me happy!

Back to the London subject... I know i'm not done writing about that weekend i spent there to keep good memory of it.... I'm never good at it...

Anyway... London countdown: 60 days...

quantum santa
the whole bit about santa covering the surface of the earth is pretty daunting. i would be extremely curious what sort of function he uses to determine the minimum route about the earth. in addition, the astronomical accelleration needed to carry out this optimum path make it unlikely in my mind that santa behaves in a classical manner. however, we do not know the origin of the legend that he lives at the north pole, except that the north pole was first visited by humans long after the historical origins of the legend. consequently, one of the primary features of the north pole known at that time was that it is cold. my impression is that santa really keeps himself far colder than anyone ever imagined. in contrast to the relativistic approach where santa has a very high rest-mass energy, i would suggest instead that the fat man image is an illusion to disguise the fact that he is really a very-low-energy particle. in this configuration, he may delocalize over the surface of the earth to deliver presents to a high multiplicity superposition state of households. simultaneously. this also explains how he copes with the lack of chimneys in the modern world. one should consequently be able to make an accurate measurement of his momentum. this is an exercise left to the reader, as is the perturbation of milk and cookies. the primary fault with this theory lies in its inability to explain the materialization and transportation of gi joes, ps2's, and sudoku puzzles to the masses.

p.s. long live spicy pork.
p.p.s. this is a little more far-fetched than the coffee one was. but come on, there MUST be a way to keep believing in santa, right?

Restaurant...

My dad invited us at the restaurant for lunch today (after so many months barely even seeing me and talking to me... i must say i was surprised!)... We went to a typical French restaurant, which i don't know the name of by the way, and we had quite a nice meal...

As for me, i had the menu that follows:

- A white martini with a slice of lemon to start with

- A poultry liver salad, which was really good, especially with that basalmic vinegar dressing on top of it

- Salmon and fresh pasta in cream

- Cheese: fromage blanc avec creme et sucre pour moi, bien sur!

- Crepe au chocolat (crepe is a kind of very thin pancake, this one was filled with warm chocolate and came with a whipped cream side)

- And a herbal infusion... which was ridiculously tiny! (that's what i always get disapointed about in restaurant: the size of the cup of tea!)... It got really hilarious when i asked for extra water and that the waitress brought me a pot, just as tiny as my cup!... I almost bursted into laughter in front of her!

Anyway.... I keep thingking about our trip to London... I can't wait to be there... which will be in ... let me count... 1, 2, 3 .... 72 days! It's going to be GREAT!

A Fever You Can't Sweat Out.

got the CD. love it. love, love, love, love, love it.

i really do.

i think it's great. i really like how their lyrics are written.
my five favourite would have to be;
-the only difference between martyrdom and suicide is press coverage
-london beckoned songs about money written by machines
-lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off
-but it's better if you do
-there's a good reason these tables are numbered honey, you just havn't thought of it yet

and the layout is temporary until i can make a better P!ATD one, most likely using one of those songs. ;)
