morning,the sun is smiling.. grinning with the birds.. i color you bluegreen. as the leaves of trees sway, as the wind softly blows giving off a fresh sweet scent. ahh!the color of oranges!
up high the color of the sky..blue as the ocean, but never blue,painted with gay clouds.
come at noon,the sun stands still right on top of you.. mighty and hot-full of life. i color you-white. white as snow,a skin of alabaster.
afternoon gives the zest to fill and deck.. to decorate like hues of the rainbow. beautiful iridescence.
at night time..all is dark-can't see thy face. i color you fiery red. struggling it might be like a candle at night. a hue of incandescence-brilliant! when night comes.i'll shine for thee. glow with thee!~slyangel
The color "red" has always been a favorite of mine, because of it's strength, warmth, audacity, intensity, flavor, and the way it sounds. Red spills forth much meaning within the different shades from pink to maroon, and everthing along the way.
Objective: Describe the way color is utilized in each artwork, specially color contrasts. Then contrast these uses in both paintings. I suggest you visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_theory to learn some art terms about color. It is kinda dry and drawn out, but you basically need the following: primary, secondary, tertiary; cool vs. warm; tints and shades; shadows and pigments.
