so allie's having her baby shower soon...i probably wont be able to go, she knows i have to work doubles on saturdays.

went to the GYN on tues. got the first of three vaccinations for HPV. woot i'll be one less :D. uh.... and i'm getting on the ring. no babies for me!! even more yay!!!!  um......hmmmm what else has ahppend that's happy.....

 

oh, i sprained my ankle on sunday and it's finally started bruising and hte swelling's gone down..... it hurts still but at least i know....topically to what extent my injuries are.so, yeah.... .things are ok for the most part....

 

school sucks ass right now they want me there two to three times a week to be there for three classes a day....(all my classes are 3.5 hrs long with a 1.5 hr break between.) i get there at 9:00a and dont leave until 10:30p and because of that i havent had any real chance to work... i tried to transfer to night classes and ease up my work load, but theyw ont let me....bastards.... i broke down at school yesterday. it was a little embarassing, to say the least. and lanes07 , you know, i dont cry.... often anyway. so yeah.... it was all good, i suppose. um...... not sure what else is entirely news right now.... i'll think about it.... oh!! i'm almost twenty. :D happy bday to me....man, i'm an old fart.  are there any clubs open on my birthday lanes07??? we need to go play...

... because it's all that I know how to do....

 

The surgery date has been set:

 

October 2, 2007 at 11:15am, check in time is 10:15am.

 

It's not as soon as I hoped for - but it's better than nothing.

I have HPV.

I have ALL the HIGH RISK strains of cancer-causing HPV.

I have a lesion on my cervix slightly larger than a dime.

I have a lesion that has pre-cancerous and cancer cells.

I have cervical cancer.

I'm having surgery to remove the lesion and surrounding area.

I have a wonderful prognosis.

But I still have cancer. :(

 

 

I know I haven't updated in a long time - there is a reason. When I have time I will elaborate.

It's finished, finally.  My abused women's website is done!  And I'm extremely proud of it and it's gotten quite a bit of good feedback too!

.Below the pinky finger on the palm of my right hand is a very small bump. It's hard--or compared to the rest of my skin--so the most logical explanation is that it is a wart. Eww. Sadly, there is a similar yet much smaller bump in almost the same place on my left hand.

.The truth is, I don't think anyone really knows what they're talking about when it comes to warts. Yes, we think we can all agree that warts are caused by different strands of HPV. Then some people say that some warts are actually hereditary. Everyone who has never had a wart says they're highly contagious and can be spread to other parts of the body through touch. People who have had warts--and one nurse practitioner who didn't tell me whether or not she had--says that isn't going to happen. Not unless it was a planter's wart or (God forbid) a genital wart. Even medical sources contradict themselves. Then of course, there are the many ways to heal warts. My roommate says you can dig out the "wart seeds" (which sounds disgusting) or put vaseline on it and cover it with a band-aid. The nurse practitioner said to just wait and see if it gets bigger before I do anything. Other friends tell me duct tape is the answer. Actually, most people agree that duct tape is the answer. It supposedly is the miraculous cure for warts.

.I've been wearing little strips of duct tape on my hands for the past two days. They've flattened a little, but this could be the pressure from the duct tape. I don't even know if they're warts. So, because some people say they'll spread to other parts of my body, I use my fingers for everything; when I wash my face, my hair, my body. I can't touch my palm to anything. It's extremely frustrating. And frightening. I tried to take a photo, and you can't even see it. Sigh... Oh well... Another happy day. Smiles. Wrinkles nose.
