A Funny Realization
Yesterday CMT ran a marathon of "Country Fried Home Videos."  Think "America's Home Videos" redneck style and hosted by Bill Engvall.  Now, I'll admit, I think it's pretty funny, and I watched it for a couple hours while I was doing some work last night.  People do some very dumb things, and as soon as you find out that they're not hurt, it becomes pretty funny.  While I was watching, I noticed that there was a true abundance of commercials selling some really crappy stuff.  You know... the kind of stuff that's "not available in stores."  I saw the same ones over and over... I don't think I've ever seen so many in one show!  I thought to myself... "who's buying this stuff?"  Suddenly it came to me: the people buying that stuff are the same ones rolling their pickup trucks down hills, fording rivers on their ATVs, and falling off their houses in those videos!.  It just made me laugh Smiley

Today was okay, though I got really annoyed in first. Some people just don't understand working in a team.

JESSI IS BACK! Yay! <3
Then Jessi's mommy picked me and her up, and we watched home videos of Jessi as a baby and kid. Omg, she was the most adorable baby in the world, and had the cutest little kid voice. =P

I know that I am vaguely a dork, don't remind me. Ignorance is bliss in such situations.

Uhhh, I don't gots a tribute today, not really. Though Jessi is back, so I guess I could consider that a sorta tribute.

My Big Fat Irish Wedding

They say no matter what, family's always there, and that has to be true, especially if it's my family with a new guy coming into the picture, Jen's fiance. His name is Bob. We have so many Bobs and Bills in our family-woo! The aunts always say that we can't marry a Bob or a Bill. Well on Wednsday, me, my mom and my dad took the long a fridgid treck up to my grandparent's house for dinner and we got to meet Bob the eighteenth or whatever he is. (In actuallity, he's more like Bob the fourth or Bob the fifth.) Jen and Bob seem so great for each other and they are so cute together! It makes me jealous, really. I wish I had someone like that, just someone I could be so comfortable with. We watched home movies and had a whole lotta laughs. When we finally got back from dinner Sarah was home from work and my mom was suddenly possesed with the spirit of spring cleaning or something, and decided to throw out so many old videos that we didn't use anymore, which lead to watching even more home movies.

The next day was, of course, turkey day! Yum yum. We went over to my Aunt Carol's for dinner. We went over at about 2:30 and didn't leave until 5. We were going to go up to my Aunt Bonnie's for another massive get-together but most of the people were leaving because the roads were getting nasty.

Today was probably the best day of my vacation, though. I didn't get dressed until noon, "forgot" about track practice and the height of my physical activity was trying to beat Nonstop mode on DDR. Me and my sis once got to the 20th song on light mode and died. That really sucked. But the big event of the day was Jen's bridal shower. All the girls (or those old enough to enjoy it) get together and we just had a blast. We had so much fun and all the married women told stories of how they met their husband and how he proposed. I even got to tell my very embarrassing, hilarious story of my first kiss...holy crap! You know, I didn't know so many people proposed in cars. It was like a big session of oral family history. It was so great! Alex and I are even going to go globbing someday, which is more of a reason to get my liscene.

After we all went out to Patrick's--one of the numerous Irish sports bars around here where we met all the guys that we told stories about ^_~ They all had went to the hockey game and afterwards everyone goes to Patrick's. Hockey was good, then our team started sucking. I left early because it wasn't nearly as much fun as the shower, and it was loud and nosy and drunk people scare me.

Congrats Jen and Bob ^_^
