Keep appliances & their cords from water & heat sources. Don't cover cords with furniture or rugs.

Fans use less electricity than AC though turn it off when you're not in the room.

Use your curtains for more than privacy. Keep heat out by drawing them.

Make sure you turn off the water when brushing teeth. Keep faucets from dripping, too.

Freezers work best when full. Put jugs of water (leave room for expanding) if there's room.
