Seriously, its about as rude as going up to a black person and commenting on how articulate they are. Come on people, think.
Hey there. I just came home from a really bad soccer game. I mean I didn't play in it because I'm hurt and I'm out for the rest of the season, but I was still ashamed. We played Oak Ridge High School and lost FIFTEEN TO ZERO!! They had FORTY THREE shots on goal and we only had THREE!!! It was embarassing... Coach was soo pissed off. I'm okay now though because I'm listing to "Dreaming With a Broken Heart" by John Mayer (my fav. song) and I'm happy. :D So... Today was a fairly good day. I got up early and took a shower then went to pick up Kris and Nathan tried to get me to skip school and go golfing with him but I couldn't because I've already missed too much school these past two weeks. So then I drove Kristen to school and I went to math =\ I hate that class right now because I missed the past three days in it and I don't understand anything that we're talking about. I'm going in early in the morning to talk to her tho so maybe that will help... But anyways, after math I had econ. In there I just texted the whole time because we were watching "October Sky" which I've seen 100 times. Then I had English which was aright because all we're doing in there is reading Macbeth, which I read in grade 10 english so I don't really have to pay attention. Then at the end of class Mr. Baird, our college professor, came in to tell us that our research papers (that we wrote IN CLASS!!!) weren't up to his standards so we have to do a rewrite by Monday =\ boo! Then I ate lunch with Amy and Joe and Kate and Jake. After that was french class. We had a quiz on a bunch of stuff that I had missed but I think I only missed one question which is good :D. Then I just goofed off with Mallorie, Brittany, and Lindsay the whole time and Mrs. Thomas got mad at us. Hehe :D After school I went home and made a flippin' awesome playlist for my myspace (www.myspace.com/ladystriker06) and then Al came and got me for the soccer game. We got there and I sat on the bench with Sadie the whole time since we're hurt and watched us get our butts handed to us. Now I'm home and I'm about to start in on my homework.
That's all. See ya!

Jan. 24, 2007 – The Department of Defense Education Activity will discontinue its Remote Home School Program beginning in school year 2007-2008, DoDEA officials announced today. "We understand this unique program is valued by our families," said Joseph D. Tafoya, DoDEA director. "Unfortunately, with the funding allocation and grants expiring for this program at the end of school year 2006-2007, we will have to discontinue the Remote Location Home Schooling Program."
DoDEA plans, directs, coordinates and manages the education programs for Defense Department family members who would otherwise not have access to a high-quality public education. Although operating a home-schooling program is outside of its directed mission, officials said, DoDEA has administered the Remote Home School Program since school year 2001-2002, when it received the first in a series of unsolicited allocations and grants to support the program.
DoDEA cannot continue administering the program with the funding authorizations and grants expiring, and by law, DoDEA is not permitted to lobby for funds to continue operating the program, officials explained.
"We truly regret the disruption this may cause students and families," Tafoya said. "We do not take this decision lightly; it is the result of careful analysis of the needs of our directed mission."
Officials said DoDEA will help students and families in any way possible in transitioning from the home-schooling program. Based on their home location, students and families may choose to enroll in a local DoDEA-administered school or public school. They may also choose to attend a private school or to participate in a home-schooling program of their choice at their own expense.

I don't know why people make such a huge deal about homeschooling and kids being socialized. After all of those studies that have come out about homeschooled kids being just as socialized as public schoolers, and they're STILL asking? I'm sorry, but it gets annoying. I don't have many friends, but I wouldn't have friends even if I did go to school. I'm a loner. I LIKE it. I CHOSE it. My parents don't keep me away from kids. In fact, they encourage me to "hang out" with girls from cheerleading
Yes, I do school in my pajamas, but that doesn't mean it's EASY. I'm doing just as much work as kids who go to school. In fact, I'm doing harder work, because I don't have homework. I do it all at once, making it twice of a pain in the butt.
Also, just because you saw someone on TV that was a homeschooler, that only does school for 2 hours a day, doesn't mean that's what I do. I spend 5+ hours a day doing my school. Not because I'm stupid, and it takes me a long time, but because I put a lot of effort into my school work. Yes, I take standardized tests.
I know, this is more of a rant than a blog post. But I had to get that off of my chest.
Argh.

I can't believe the Freshman won the pep rally, though I wasn't surprised when my sophmore class really didn't do anything, my class was never very spirited. I also didn't get to leave the school until about 7:30, as I had Druiver's ed after school, and then I had a Boyscout function to do at the stadium... Ah well, I was happy to get home.
Also, according to my orthodontist, I should have room for my wisdom teeth, which means they won't have to be pulled, which is very, very good. I had a busy day yesterday.
