Home Business @ MindSay
I know the price of things is going up lately. Everything from gas to groceries! Folks are concerned about having the basic necessities of life, much less having disposable income to eat out, go on vacation, etc..
But what many people don't realize is that there are actually sites online that offer FREE items. You've got sites out there offering free things like samples, gift cards, restaurant meals, software, even airline tickets!
But the sad fact is that most people will never hear about them. The average American is bombarded with advertising messages on a daily basis, so much so that most are ignored altogether. Furthermore, we've become increasingly jaded and cynical whenever someone offers something for "free." They think there has to be a catch. Sure, it's understandable; I've come across the banner ads on Myspace and elsewhere offering "free" items like gift cards, PS3 consoles, laptops, etc.. Then you read the fine print at the bottom of the banner ad about "completion requirements", so you have to "jump through hoops" to get to the so-called "free" item. So you're now have to pay for and be stuck with a bunch of stuff you really didn't want, like a membership in Columbia House or another checking account.
You want stuff that is actually free! Stuff where all you have to do is either submit name and address or even something as simple as point, click, and print.
There is such a site; in fact, it's a one-stop portal for many free items offered on the web.
It's called Freebie Force, and it's quickly becoming the fastest growing site of its kind on the web.
If you're even mildly curious about it, I suggest you click HERE to get all the details about this phenomenon.
You can also make a few bucks by telling your friends and referring others.
So go ahead and check it out for yourself. You even have a few days to try it RISK-FREE!

Well I am doing something I have never done before. Finally setting up a real home office. Now years ago I bought all the stuff one might need for a good home office like
copier, scanner,fax
small desk with leather writing top and space for the laptop.
two drawer filing cabinet
file folders
stapler
staples
paper clips
marker, pens, pencils, highlighters
countless books on starting a business.
Now I have a job that feeds into my desire to start and run a publication and maybe later a publishing house. Not only that, I have 2 months before school starts to get something started and guess what y'all?
I have no excuses left people.
So today I get the tons of junk I have been storing in the filing cabinets, I pay for the website, tweak the mission statement and then gear up for accepting submissions!
Holy freaking Hannah! For Real and really I am starting my business. Now magazines are hard work and now that Myclette is a lady of leisure perhaps she would like a little something to do along side her schooling. So now I have to get to work. Ha.
Wanna hear something else hilarious?! I had a driving lesson last night with the roomies in their Rented PT Cruiser. We started out in the parking lot and then I took it to the streets and watch out world the Paganista is on the streets.
The thing is that if I am to get my business to thrive I have to have wheels, the trick is to be economically and environmentally conscious. Now I probably cant afford a Hybrid but I can definetely make an informed and responsible decision. any and all suggestions are welcome friends.
Well I gotta get back the filing cabinet mess I have created and get ready for work.
Goddess Bless
Yes, I know, it's a bit 'Crying Game' isn't it... funny? yes, I know...
Serious business now.
I'm conducting an experiment. Some of you might know that I have my own business, I sell cars. I haven't really shouted about it on here, but I have a couple of websites that I have built and have their own merits, but are nothing that's going to set the technological world on fire. Well, they are doing the job well enough and that's all I need.
Because I'm in an industry that is very cut-throat and very over-populated, there's never a chance that I'm ever going to make the top ten in google unless I pay a shit load of money for google adwords. (Don't know what they are? Don't worry it's very boring and means that if I want someone to see my website in the top ten of google I have to pay about $30 for one visitor to my website who is just going to have a look at some nice pictures and not buy anything.) So stuff that.
So I've been looking into Search Engine Optimization recently. YAWN!!!!!! Techies are so bloody boring. I'm sorry, but they are. Shit, I've practically been falling asleep here reading some forums and shit, but I have learnt a little bit and tried applying it to my websites. My websites are not MySpace, or Mindsay, by any stretch of the imagination, but in terms of a car site, they are pretty big with 100 odd pages each, so it takes time to get them all updated.
Anyway. So looking at these forums, I have found that there are a lot of these internet marketers on there that claim to be making six and seven figure incomes from 'the comfort of your own home!' Yeah ok! Whatever!!!
But is there any truth in it? I mean, when you cut out all the crap and the marketing speech and the cleverly worded text, is there something in this for me?
Well, I'm about to find out.
All these 'get rich quick' schemes, I'm too long in the tooth for. Amway Shamway - I tried that when I was 20 and I spent a fortune and got relatively nothing in return, so after 2 years I gave it up as a bad job. Herbal supplements, home catalog shopping, weight loss pills, you name it, I've done it, heard of it and tried it and failed at it.
They don't work. Yes, they have great marketing people behind them and a killer system, and anyone that has the money and perseverance to complete it, then cool, good on them. The only thing I found was that I was looking down the barrel of a financial gun. I didn't much like the people either. They were turning into corporate machines that had forgotten the fun part of life and they just lived for 'the business'.
Fast forward to today.
I'm just me. We have a simple life and although I have my own business, take all the preconceived ideas out of your head and get this. I'm not rich. To have your own business means working 70+ hour weeks, having no money, putting your life, heart and soul into something that you have no idea is going to work, and taking little or no pay from the business because you have to re-invest the little money you have to pay bills, the tax man, running costs, internet connections and dealing with customers complaints and customers bitching you out while you smile sweetly at them.
It's no bloody picnic, I tell you. I've had my own business since the turn of the millennium, with a years break when the first one went belly up. Long story.
So. At last I get to it. I'm conducting an experiment.
I have $200 in a new bank account. I'm not going to spend any more than that. I'm not going to buy anything from an 'Internet Marketing Guru'. I'm going out with all the 'knowledge' I have gained over the last 15 years and more recently, few weeks in Internet university..(just me researching the internet) and I'm going to see if it possible to make a significant income using the power of the internet alone. The experiment is to find out if the common man with very little prior internet knowledge can too make a substantial amount of money from the internet.
I'm going to be documenting it too. I have yet another blog, but not here on Mindsay, I set it up on blogger.com (sorry Mindsay) because that will be my first income stream, as I am allowed to have my own adsense adverts by google on my blog and I make money from it. Sorry, but that's the nature of making money - you can't be emotional about this shit!
So if you would like to be there from the start and track my progress (I should sell this to the TV) then, by all means, you can have a look at my blog here: http://thisiswhatmylifehascometo.blogspot.com
The first post I made a few days ago is a little long, but maybe worth reading.
If you're interested, I'll see you there!
My objective was to start my own business here since the computer industry is just catching on in this province, but the population base of 1 million or less makes that a scary proposition in a land of dirt roads! I haven't given up though, and am looking at the possibility of moving to Saskatoon and providing an in-house computer repair and maintainence service. I will come to your home or business to service your machines.
Here's to health and wellness! I am placing a link on here to my hubby's new home business. http://kvalentine1.qhealthzone.com/ He is constantly working at work and at home -and needs to be less stressed, so we began this venture to gradually increase our income with a small investment of time and effort, decrease his constant working, and eventually build a new 2-3 level art studio/garage in basement level/wood & welding workshop building on our property. Then the attached existing garage will be transformed into living space! This dream has been a long time in the back burner and it is finally looking to be a possibility that will materialize -hopefully before the next ten years fly by.
We love the energy drinks and the energy bars. They are just what the body demands when in high stress/energy modes. There is a way into the partnership stores through this sight, but I am so new to this... I will have to explore how to get toThe Disney Store, Barnes & Nobles and Office Max from this site myself. I know that you can even go to Dick Blick's Art Supply from here...somehow. (So everytime I need new paint brushes I will earn business points for purchasing from my own hubby's space! Woohoo!) As soon as I figure it all out, I will let you know. More likely, one of you will tell me how it works. Anyway, for each purchase you make on my hubby's business sight, we earn point values that take us to our dream goal. You do not have to sell under us, sign anything or join anything- just shop through here whenever you need to. That's what I like about this business. There's even more exciting things to share, but like I say, I am still learning! If you are interested in learning more, let me know.
