Holland @ MindSay

We're thinking about moving to Holland, Michigan. No we're not Dutch, I'm not in dutch, and I understand that unlike Amsterdam the biggest attraction in Holland, Michigan is tulips.

So why Holland? It's close to my kids in Chicago but not too close, it's close to some of the best parks for hiking, it's near a little lake and the big lake, it seems to be affordable, the summers would be cooler than they are here, and we won't have to endure the horrid winters because we go south half the time anyway.

If you have ever lived in Holland, MI it would be nice to hear from you. If you haven't, it would be nice too. We need lots of encouragement. We have been in Nebraska for 32 years. It's time to move on, don't you think?

I'am a retro-gamer from The Netherlands, i like pizza, blah blah blah that sort of thing. My favorite music types are heavy metal and Ska, espacially from "System of a Down" and "Reel Big Fish".

 

Why i made this blog? 'cause I'am bored. Also i would love to share my thinkings and opinions to the rest of the world, seeming Mindsay is the easiest way.

 

Anyways, i love computers. They're my life. I just got my 4th pc on my room, which is a fancy 70MHZ 286. Well, good enough for me to play my old games on. Also I'am the leader of the computer part of school's open day, which is hard working since i got just a few weeks left, and I am collecting easy, cool ideas for that. Like making a server out of a old pc.

 

Well, i gonna try to post atleast 4 blogs each week, but i think i'll reach the daily blog.

I did say I was going to write a personal blog sometime today, but I couldn't be arsed. Regardless, the second day of the WC's over, so here's the blog for it ^_^

First up, at 2pm, was England vs Paraguay, in what was a rather dull and frustrating match, at least in the second half. The final score:

England - 1 (Gamarra OG)
Paraguay - 0

Something of note is that FIFA will be looking at the goal, and will decide whether it took enough of a deflection for it to be classed as an own goal, or whether it should actually be awarded to David Beckham, who hit the free kick which led to the goal. More on this tomorrow.

5pm saw the second game of Group B, which was infinately better than the England game. It was Trinidad & Tobago vs Sweden, the final score:

Trinidad & Tobago - 0 (Avery John Sent Off)
Sweden - 0

So, after those games, the Group B table looks like this:

1 - England
2 - Sweden

3 - Trinidad & Tobago
4 - Paraguay.

The last game of today's programme, which has not long finished, was Argentina vs Ivory Coast, from Group C. The final score for this game was:

Argentina - 2 (Crespo, Saviola)
Ivory Coast - 1 (Drogba)

I won't bother with the table, because there's still a game to play. And that brings us to tomorrow's games.

At 2pm, on BBC1, it's Serbia & Montenegro vs Holland, the last game from Group C. Then, at 5pm, also on BBC1, from Group D it's Mexico vs Iran, which sounds really thrilling. [/sarcasm] At 8pm, on ITV1, it's the second game from Group D, which is Angola vs Portugal.

Dutch pedophiles to launch political party

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Dutch pedophiles are launching a political party to push for a cut in the legal age for sexual relations to 12 from 16 and the legalization of child pornography and sex with animals.

 

The Charity, Freedom and Diversity (NVD) party said on its Web site it would be officially registered Wednesday, proclaiming: "We are going to shake The Hague awake!"

 

The party said it wanted to cut the legal age for sexual relations to 12 and eventually scrap the limit altogether.

The party said private possession of child pornography should be allowed although it favors banning the trade of such materials. The broadcast of pornography should be allowed on daytime television, with only violent pornography limited to the late evening, according to the party.

 

Toddlers should be given sex education and youths aged 16 and up should be allowed to appear in pornographic films and prostitute themselves. Sex with animals should be allowed although abuse of animals should remain illegal, the NVD said.

 

The party also said everybody should be allowed to go naked in public.

 

The party's program also includes ideas for other areas of public policy including legalizing all soft and hard drugs and free train travel for all.

Be a hell of a tourist attraction, anyway.

 

Now I'm basically a small-L libertarian on individual liberties and in my view of keeping the government as powerless as possible to interfere in people's private lives, so I don't have a knee-jerk reaction to this kind of stuff...though it's hard not to get a mental image of drooling child molestors trading pictures and whacking off at party conventions. Ages of consent are arbitrary lines, just as all age laws are--no matter where you put them, somebody will be on the wrong side. (Including 12, where there will still be some who could give what I would consider meaningful consent excluded...though these people want to eventually correct for that by making the age of consent "born." And also including 18, at which point a fair number of "adults" are nowhere near mature enough to give meaningful consent.) Drugs should be legal...or, to put it another way, stupidity should not be illegal. Porn on TV...change the channel if you don't wanna watch it. Public nudity...I wouldn't, but anyone else can feel free. Free train travel...well, that's just typical left-wing bribe-the-voters-with-their-own-money stuff. So I find all of these at least open to debate.

 

But sex with animals...uh, guys, I'm not sure that your dog humping your leg can really be construed as consent....
