DECEMBER'S HIT PARADE!

So much talent resides within the webpages of the Mindsay community.

It’s hard to appreciate all the diverse voices and visions because it’s hard to find it all.

We have combed through all the blog entries to find those outstanding posts that make you want to say, “I wish I had said/done that…”

HEADLINERS is a new blog that reachs out to all the corners of the MINDSAY Community. Each month you’ll see some of the showcased posts of the previous month. Using the Mindsay Tags as a general guide, we will reach out across the different blogs to pick the standouts in Art, Miscellaneous, News Related, Poetry, Photography, etc. Individual bloggers may appear only once each month.

RULES
1.) No blogger will appear more then once in any given month.
2.) Only Blogs posted befween the 1st and last days of the past month will be considered.
3.) Blogs will be listed by category.
4.) Blogs will be choosen using the Mindsay Tags feature.  You can use our suggested tags as well

Hi Folks.

We have received some questions as to who we are, and I would like to take this time to tell you that as fellow bloggers we just wanted to let other people know what blogs around Mindsay are all about. This project was an effort to help bring attention to our fellow Mindsayers.  If people have been offended we seriously apologize on behalf of Headliners.  Also, we would ask that if people wish to not be "selected" in the future, to just request it from Headliners via email at headliners.mindsay@gmail.com

A lot of work has gone into creating this project, and we would like to see it become a success.  However we will respect all bloggers in regards to whether they wish to appear in this forum.

As for who we are,the creators of Headliners and its portal sites are  limelife and tootboy

Any other questions/comments/suggestions may be directed to headliners.mindsay@gmail.com

Thank you,

Headliners

December has always held special place in my heart. It's a beautiful morning and I am planning on going to the gym and give this Friday a better start than my most other days. I am not going to waste time on recounting on what has happened in the recetn past. I ended up getting upset a bit but my anger made me a stronger person.

I was letting my dog outside, and I put her on her running line. I was on my way back into the house, and had turned to close the storm door behind me. The door was almost closed, when something dropped onto my head from outside, and then fell to the floor INSIDE the house, at my feet. It was a baby gecko.

I figured out something this morning. Even as a kid I sort of liked watching the news on TV. I always saw a "stateliness" in many of the newcasters. It really gave an air of believability to their utterances. Of course, they could have be exaggerating, even lying through their teeth and I wouldn't have known.

So why does a married man go to a titty bar? I used to enjoy these places when I was young. Very exciting. Since I married, I stayed away from these places, since my wife does not feel comfortable about me looking at other women. I have met ladies however that will go with their partners to a gentlemen’s club. I am not that lucky. Anyhow, yesterday I left the office early, and went to one just because I felt the desire to look at something different.

Dear Cocoa Goddess,

Why do women have so many pairs of black shoes?

A: Because women have so many different types of outfits that may have the color black in them. Casual black sandals wouldn't compliment a dressy black pantsuit, but they look fabulous with a pair of black capri pants. If you're married, you know that her half of the closet is filled to capacity while your half isn't.

Something doesn't feel right with my relationship with EVERYONE (on individual levels, of course).
And yet, at the same time, it feels more right than ever. I believe things happen for a reason, that EVERYTHING happens for a reason, and that there is no coincidence or luck in anything. And as such, I wonder if I didn't accidentally convince myself of something that, if I did, I really should not have.

The fight, the struggle, the testing, all work to your good. With this battle for our purpose and passion we develop a character that understands much from a place that invites others in. We are not on this journey alone and each person is there for our betterment. Sometimes, rather than through what they give us, our gain is experienced through what we give them. With each step forward, a time comes when we can see the net effect beginning to shape our future, a future we couldn't foresee but sensed.

I feel trapped. I don't like who I have become. I find myself slipping slowly into the mediocraty of the world. I don't wish to go into detail for reasons that i will descuss later. I want despratly to do something compleetly unexpected. But if i did that, I feer that there would be attention directed toward me. I don't want to be noticed. Yet I want to do something unexpected. I don't know what though. If I had the money it would be simple. Travel. Go to Europe. Then that would be the end of it. But I don't have the money.
