Goodness' sake! It's such a GREAT SHOW last night!!!!!!!

 

Okay anyway I should start with the dinner thingy, right? Coz I had sooooo much fun with Carrie, Kei and Shirley at the Curry House!!! Just love you all soooooooooooooooooooooooooo goddamn much, you gals are incredible!! I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU!!! Hahahahaa We went to that building to have adventure again...wahahahaha it's freaking scary but it was fun...Carrie, you're so bold anyway....Me and Kei were totally freaked out.

 

Then we had a little walk around LKF since the fringe gallery's not open yet. It was amazing to walk around LKF at night coz a little mama's girl like me rarely get the chance to stay out late...haha and it felt totally cool, it's a great people-watching experience, there're soooo many hotties and stylish people around. Just love the feeling the place gave me last night. It was not about drunken people throwing up and fooling around but refined people having fun and enjoying and relaxing with ace music! It's just incredible, just walking around made me feel kind of cool myself...hahaha

 

And then we read a little at Page One, helped Carrie to select a poetry for her special someone and then we headed to the fringe club.

 

We got there at 9 something, we weren't very early but we got quite a privileged position in the queue! Saw many celebrities (ok I saw Daniel Wu, but he's not really my cup of tea after all) and of course lots of eye candies!! That Raul-look-alike...goodness.

 

And then Soler appeared and walked down the road where we queued up! Dino was carrying his guitar and with his cute little smile on his face, me and Carrie said Hello to him and he responded with a little Hello as well, but Ju looked kind of pissed-off......he just kept looking down and walking without saying a word. Anyway I guess he's tired...coz they had a stupid function again before the show....sigh he always keeps me worried about him until I see him smile again. Anyway...

 

The show started at about 10:05pm, we got in and gosh, it was not free seating, it was free standing again. I bet Kei was freaked out...wahahhaa I'm ok with that coz I never really get to sit down for Soler's functions anyway, and it's a BAND SHOW so standing will be much better than sitting down. But the smoke inside the gallery's just kind of suffocating. And Hurray for Shirley coz she's got in successfully!

 

We were at the second row during the first and second performance. MC Goldmountain's a really really really ace rapper!!!!!! My Goodness he blew me away really....I dunno much about hip hop but I enjoyed his rap sooo much! And he's so cute :)

 

Well SiQ was the first performer, a bunch of face-painted guys...I...well...didn't really like the performance. It was too vigorous. The frontman was like....he's either possessed or on drugs...the poor girl in front of us got hit by his mic or wire or something.The music's just so-so by the way, kind of conventional acid rock trying too hard to be unconventional.

 

The second performer HardPack was great!!! They played punk rock and it's really really fun! Very uplifting beat and lively vocals. Love Joseph the guitarist (ok I'm not sure if he's Joseph but I checked it in their homepage and it seems he's called Joseph), he's so charming when he's so absorbed by the music and shook his cap off (and the little lip-licking)...wahahaha

Ok Ok Ok and then here we go!!!!!! SOLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our long-waited SOLER!!!

 

Hahahaa with our agile 攝位 skills we've got in the first row!!! And it was really really really really really close, it's even closer than the Soler Hack Haking Live in HKU back in October. I was standing just in front of Ju and of course Carrie's got her Dino's side!! It was so close that any minute we'll got hit by the mic stand if Ju twisted it too forcefully. Anyway Ju radiated in white again! Though he did look a little pale (perhaps it's the white light just above his head?), he's soooooooooo charming on stage (I guess being on stage gives him energy, and he did look happier after the show). I could see his eyes really really clearly and they are beautiful, those long eye-lashes, those hypnotizing brown eyes, and also his dimples...oh oh oh not to mention the time he pulled his T-shirt up a little when he sang She's On my Mind...his tanned skin...goooosh

 

I just couldn't take my eyes off him, even when Dino solo for 風的終點, I kept looking at Ju who's playing the piano. In a moment or two I thought I was going to cry....It's a magical moment when he concentrated and were so absorbed in the music, his artistic fingers caressing the keyboard, his long long eye-lashes when he closed his eyes, his sweat strolling down his face....for a second or two, it seems like he's not real, he's heavenly, he's an angel (and oh he looks so good in white), and I was there, grasping my breath, standing very still, half-fear that any move of mine would wake me from this magical moment, and I looked so closely at Ju, in the hope of prolonging this moment when I could capture this angelic Ju with my eyes and let this image of him stay forever in my mind.

 

Just love it when he said "we're all friends tonight" during 陌生人. Soler really connects people. And I really love it when they can truly play their music on stage instead of having mmo and sing just one or two songs in those stupid mall shows. It was magical when everyone, Soler fans and non-Soler fans, moved along their beat and cheered and applauded their brilliant performance. After all, making and playing music is what they love to do and I just want them to enjoy what they're doing.

 

Actually just now I talked with Carrie a little on the phone about the whole Soler prospect thing. Just think that they should give up on some of the stupid mmo shows...after all I think it's not about being popular or not. It's about whether they enjoy what they're doing, and from Ju's look, I can see that he's so goddamn tired. I'd rather they have more rest than going to shopping malls to play stupid games, when the audiences are just shoppers who wanna take photos photos and photos. I can't deny the fact that some of these shoppers will be touched by their music and will actually go buy their CD and watch their live shows. And that's the point! If they keep having the stupid shows, they'll lose these people, these people who want more, who want to truly listen to them. If they give up live shows for the stupid mmo shows, these people will never get to see the real Soler, and then if they're not satisfied, they'll be gone, so what's the point of having so much of these mmo shows? Yes it's a starter, it's a channel for them to let people know about them and their music, so attending a few of these shows is necessary, but the proportion shouldn't be this large, right? There should be more live shows, more proper live shows for people to truly truly get to know the gist of Soler's music, to see the dynamic Ju, to see Dino's fantastic guitar skill, to see the chemistry of the full band. And it's always music that will last, not this psuedo-popularity, not how many people know that mix-twins are Soler, but how many people know that Soler's music is brilliant.

 

So much so for the grumble...anyway will talk with Carrie, Emmy and Shirley and see what we can do.

 

 

Anyway the band show was great!! Because the Soler I saw last night was exactly the Soler I've fallen in love with at the first place! Peter and Skot are G.R.E.A.T.!! And hahahaha I gave Ju the Jack Johnson CD!! Hope he and Dino will read the letter, take my words to really take good care of themselves. And haha I helped passing the drink to Ju before they started their performance...I didn't touch him but the fact that he's leaned closer to get the drink really puts me all hyper..waahahahahahaaa

 

It was a great night! Just dun wanna get back to the reality that I have revision to do and lessons to prepare...

 

 

 

Goodness I miss Ju soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much.
