In Newt Gingrich’s most recent “Winning the Future” e-newsletter he writes that English should be the language of Citizenship in America.
Gingrich also writes that English should not be made an exclusive language in America. The reasoning behind NOT making English exclusive is America’s history of a melting pot. America had a generation or space of time in which immigration was actively promoted. During this time many Western Europeans immigrated to America: Irish, Scandinavians, Italians, Germans, Jews, and Chinese (oops) and more.
Unfortunately there was also some forced immigration in the de-humanized marketing of Black slavery.
Most of the succeeding generations of these immigrants learned English as their primary language. It is called assimilation. That is the hall mark America should aim for immigrants to acquire citizenship: American cultural history and the English language. The American culture of the Revolutionary War period is what has set up the most prosperous and liberty conscious society the world has EVER known. This is a fact regardless of Left Wing America haters and the very reason Mohammedans hate America.
For an immigrant to seek citizenship, that immigrant should assimilate to what has made America great. A lack of willingness to do so should exclude an immigrant from American Citizenship.
Gingrich points out that Australia has already moved in the direction of the emphasis of Citizenship over validating multicultural validity. Canada appears to be exploring options to follow Australia’s path. These are friendly Western style democracies. America should move in the path of Citizenship more than multicultural diversity.
What I find the most appealing in Al-Zarqawi's killing is that there were 17 othere raids on Al-Qaida-assed idiots at the same time. I have learned that there was a wealth of information gathered from all of the incidents. That shows to me how our intelligence is starting to win over the rural warfare we are facing. Remember the fact that if if don't take it to them, they will take to us here. They have been trying to do that for years and did it on 911. We cannot let that happen again.
America will win. And we will go down in history, again, as a great defeat of radical idealogy. America beat the Nazi's. We will beat the Al-Qaida islamic ideaologue. Long live America and our beliefs and Constitution. Praise be to America!
Islam needs a change in it's thinking. Why in the world do they consider a killer and an adulterest a prophet? I do not know, but they do. It angered and disturred me to see the video of Nick Berg being be-headed by satan's helper. It took me weeks to get over that. If you have not seen it then you SHOULD. It will tell so much more of the story of why we are there, why our troops are there, and why you and I need to watch out. But be prepared when you decide to see it. This was a fellow American over there to help a demented, out-of-date society and he got bludgend, be-headed and dismembered in front of the world. What if it was you? What if it was your family? This blog is internet. That was life. These Islamic people kill.
Please support our troops and a small but large victory of today.
My husband & I were just discussing the state of America last evening, and we both agreed that after WWII nothing was or has ever been the same. Although there were scandals and corruption throughout our political history, there has been NOTHING like what we have seen since the late 40's-early 50's.
Kennedy's assassination marks, IMHO, the true delineation of America as a country representing all the people on a modern level playing field. I watched a cover-up mockumentary on the History Channel last evening on the Kennedy assassination. Although it presented some brief varying points of view, the conclusion was that Oswald was a crackpot who acted alone, as was his killer, Jack Ruby. This, IMHO, is patently false and does another great disservice to Americans hoping to understand how our country got to be in the place where it is.
The rogue government entities that planned and carried out the killing of JFK were born from the seeds of the OSS - America's secret intelligence agency begun during WWII. This group has evolved into the many covert ops agencies we have created and has become more and more powerful as time has passed.
Their tentacles reach into every part of the world and into every government on the planet. Their interests do not, for the most part, coincide with yours or mine or those of the average American, who wants to live in peace, have a secure job and be able to enjoy his or her family, friends and leisure. This monster has grown so that now, these spies, moles, double and triple agents etc. from various countries run the world - pulling the strings behind everything - the financial markets, the oil cartels, the politics, the assassinations and the "terrorists."
I suggest reading an excellent book by Webster Griffin Tarpley called 9/11: Synthetic Terror. It neatly documents and pulls together the story behind, of, and after 9/11 and also contains good history on past political coups etc. as well.
I fear for our country and the world, because we the people no longer have a true voice in our present lives or the future of the earth.
