Hi and here I sit in my office just relaxing after finishing a class. No more classes til tomorrow morning. Great! upon deciding what to write I thought about the places where I have visited and to talk briefly about them.
China is of course a developing land but more developed than one thinnks. Yes there are a few mega cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. So much to see and do there but also a few cities with still huge populations tat stick out very well. I guess there can be no really good place that is perfect in visiting but a few are really great if you just want to see China.
Xi'an sticks out in my mind as a great place to see. It is of course one of the older cities with loads of history. I did like seeing the terra cotta warrirs fornthe Qin dynasty. These people who dwelled there were highly intelligent and were great craftsman in making these life like statesmen to wariors protecting the emperor or king depending on how you look at it. Perfectly lined in rows and every face is different where no one face is the same. Dates back roughly 2,000 years ago. It was discovered by accident by a few farmers who were digging or searching for water. What a find really and it was wonderful. Finding a piece of ancient history and yet maybe a few had forgoten about it. Not bad when we think of how much history there is in China.
Going to Beijing is great. A big old city which is the capital plus has many places of immense interest in order to get your mind working. I do like te following places. Tinamin Sq, the summer palace and of course the Forbidden city. I like the forbiden city and all f the old buildings. Sometimes I would just go and watch people to see how they react to this tremendously well kept place. Then the summer palce. Another great place which is still well kept and preserved to those who want to see it. Oh the great wall is good but go when it is not so hot. people will try to sell you everythig so be careful.
