Higher Power @ MindSay
Laptops and Netbooks
I think investing in a laptop or a netbook is a good idea, depending on what you get and how much you pay.
By today's standards, if you pay over 1000 for a laptop and don't get at least 3 GB of RAM, a 2.0+ GHz dual core processor, and a dedicated Nvidia or ATI GPU, you're getting scammed.
Right now I'm waiting for the perfect deal to come into the market.
This perfect deal is a DIY (do it yourself) laptop/netbook that includes the very bare minimums: the laptop case with screws and tools, the battery, and the mainboard.
What I Know: If the mainboard chipset is a dual-core Nvidia ION (which is a dual core Intel Atom @ 1.6 GHz and Nvidia 9400 GPU), then the screen should only be 10 or 12 inches for graphics performance. If the chipset is a socket for higher power processors along with a 9600 GPU or higher, then it has enough power to perform all the way up to 17 inch screens. Now, the processor(except the ION), RAM, Hard Drive, network card, etc. are not included since the case is barebones. This is where the user can pick and choose what to put in. This way you can choose either economy or enthusiast parts, depending on how much they want to spend.
The perfect screen for me that would have the benefits of ultra-portability and viewing pleasure is about a 12 inch screen. The screen size, however, allows enough space to place either a Nvidia ION chipset or a slightly higher power CPU/GPU set, such as a 2.0+ GHz dual core w/ 9600+ GPU. I'm hoping for either, and whichever comes out first with the customization options that I want, I will buy.
Afterthought update:
I just found a laptop that's nearly 10 grand. It has some of the most powerful computer components on the market today, including the best Intel DESKTOP(130 Watt TDP) processor. It has a 12-cell battery, weighs over 10 pounds, and is meant as a desktop replacement. IMO, it's a huge waste of money and development (besides cooling and battery research) to make such powerful and expensive laptops. It's important to remember that a generation of computer technology usually never lasts more than 3 years before it's succeeded by something much more powerful (the same reason I'll never a computer part that costs more than 300 dollars by itself.)

Updates and Ramblings
- I've been without a car since last Wednesday and I have to say even though it sucks not being able to get up and go when I want, the husband has been very kind and understanding about carting me around. I dare say he may kinda like it. :P He didn't mind having to take me back and forth to my church job and he didn't mind playing taxi when he had to take our daughter to the birthday party she was invited to.
- Since my little one spent the night at my sister's house this weekend, the husband decided to rent Pan's Labyrinth. I have to say it was absolutely beautiful and tragic. I loved this movie! This was no children's movie. Although, it has fairytale characters and a features a child as the main character, the adult themes and violence makes it a film that is for mature audiences. Set in war-torn Spain during the 1940's, it is the story about a young girl named Ofelia who shuts out the horrible world around her by escaping into a fairytale world. The dialogue is in Spanish with English subtitles. I highly recommend this movie. Be warned, you may need a box of tissues.
- Pan's Labyrinth got me thinking about why I personally believe in God, or a higher power. People are such disappointing fucks. On a daily basis people disappoint each other or let each other down, yet we are all we have in this world. I believe we sort each other the by the level of disappointment we are willing to take from each other. Those who we feel we can forgive we keep around and the others we judge as enemies or not worth our time. There are even some people in this world who we know will eventually screw us over, but for some reason we hope and pray that they will find us worthy enough. We hold them on some pedestal and allow them to define how we feel about ourselves.
Call me pessimistic, but this is precisly why I refuse to believe we are the pinnacle of life on the planet or in the Universe. There has to be something better out there. It's hard to explain, but my interest in astrophysics strengthened my belief in a greater or higher power. Man is so flawed. The universe is so vast and so mysterious, yet so beautiful. If Man is all we have to rely on then what would be the point of going on? (Damn, I'm rambling!)
- Speaking of disappointing. I'm soooo not interested in watching the American Idol finale. If it were between Jordin and Melinda I would be glued to the television set. That would be a great showdown. This Blake and Jordin finale will be about as riveting as watching paint dry.
I have been a bad blogger
For the two of you who may have missed me, I have been MIA for a while. I have no excuse except I had a rotten cold, was working a lot and was too cranky to think of anything to blog. I still don't really have anything to report. I was reading Josiejunk 's blog about hiking and how close she felt to a higher power and threatened to do a similar blog about climbing dirty, icy snowdrifts and how looking at the industrial pollution made me feel closer to a higher power as well, but she threatened to hurt me if I did =) Like I said, I was cranky, and seeing as how I was in the snowy, yucky Midwest and she kept publishing pictures of beautiful blue skies, I thought it only fair!
Starseeds VERY INTERESTING
We who are 'star seeds', or 'star people' have lived in
many realities - in many planetary systems - and in higher realms as other life forms.
So here we are on third dimensional Earth, in bodies many
of us consider 'limited'.
Their connection to the mainstream systems of society -
religious, political, economic doesn't exist as they understand that
these are just systems of a program that is about to change.
Most are creative or prefer creative activities - as they
use the right side (creative side - intuitive - higher vibrational
frequency side) of the brain.
Many prefer to work only in the esoteric fields - healing,
searching for their own truths and their soul mission through studying
systems of higher wisdom - ET research - writing their biographies as
a means of clearing issues and understanding their work here and now.
They await a great awakening - event of some kind.
They know that no one has the date for us to move into
levels of higher frequency but their souls tell them that it is on the
horizon.
They are programmed to find others like themselves now, as
based on similar frequencies and predestined agendas they set up
before they came in. After all, they have done this many times before.
Sometimes these souls are called 'walk-ins' or 'wanderers'.
It is all the same as it really one soul having
multidimensional experiences.
Some starseeds can overcome feelings of longing because
they remember how to manifest realities that help them function in
physical bodies while doing their work - holding their frequency here - at the same time.
Many starseeds feel lost and alone - become depressive and
withdrawal from society feeling that no one understands them.
Some 'leave' early' - illnesses, accidents, suicides - as
the pain of remaining here becomes too great.
Most are hampered by the limitations of a third dimensional
form.
Some souls forget that they came here with specific agendas
so they play in the emotional playground we call 3D Earth.
The need to mate and procreate is not important to them,
though opportunities do arise.
***Homosexuality seems to be high among male energies***
This is because the next evolution bring is the return of the higher frequency - called 'feminine energy's - keeping their frequencies at that higher levels.
Some starseeds trigger their souls memory gradually -
others by an event in 3D that suddenly occurs. It is a gradually process - as we are triggering our DNA to get their.
They soon understand their multidimensional aspects. This
is difficult as we are so complex and understand so little about
reality.
The frustrations levels and the 'need to know now' levels -

| You are the gruff, tough, family man Barry Burton, the man who would do anything for his loved ones. Not to be confused with a softie though...you're anything but! Especially when you have that magnum revolver pointed in my face...you're the king! You're the greatest! I love you!...now, please put it down...anyway, as long as you keep the trust of your fellow teammates, you will go all the way. You're kickass with that magnum aswell, you could shoot a T-Virus infected mosquito out the air, you're such a good aim! (although that'd probably be a bit of a waste of a magnum round) You're only downside is you're a bit dozey...I mean, c'mon...letting Wesker fool you for crying out loud, you made life too difficult for your friends at the worst time possible by being manipulated by that traitorous crook! Oh well, let's go blow some zombies heads off to pass some time. |
