I scanned the paragraph quickly and lit upon the phrase "announced his arrival."
Yes, I really must learn to enunciate more clearly. Even if I'm only reading out loud to myself. Never know when male teenage brains are listening and hoping for something...weirdly interesting.

Music came along much, much later in the evolutionary roll out.
I have discussed this with some scholars in both the music and biological sciences. Diana Deutsch at USC, a developer of psychoacoustic audio illusions commented, February 2008, that this line of inquiry was "very interesting" and that she would "ponder them" some more. There are several I have yet to hear back from. But I'll keep refining my thoughts and emails.
My main idea here is that music is fundamentally foreign to hearing evolution, in the longest view. In the shorter view; less than 100,000 years, music may have locked it's "molecules" into friend-or-foe "receptors" that were already present in the human brain. This would help account for such things a tribe-specific ritual music and national anthems. These, I think, are meta-affects. In the mico aspect hearing is still very much a safety feature, hence car horns, alarms and other "foe" or caution evoking sounds on the one hand and favourable, pleasing sounds such as meat cooking, the sound of a favored loved one or pet, or jovial laughter on the other.
It is, therefore, easy to understand how the Us vs Them mentality forms around musical genera. Metalers vs Punks, Country vs Rap, Classical vs anything else. The crux of the biscuit here is that, I believe, people make broad safety-based assumptions about people based upon the music those people listen to.
Try this: go to a place where some good-ol'-boys are and tell them that you like Rap. The first thing you will be exposed to is racist attitudes. It's almost invariably so. Why? Hate stems from fear. If you fear ethnics, you will learn to associate there "anthems" with that fear. It seems that, regardless of the quality of the music, the anthems - such as Rap is the Urbanites - will evoke that sense of fear and anathema in the mind of some listeners. I think this could be studied with fMRI.
Now, I am sure there is much more to this and I am still studying to work out my hypothesis to the level of testing, but I'm sure I will make some more interesting observations here in the next little while.

Nenner Nenner Nenner the first half of my brother's drama is officially at an end. Okay technicality one more court date but that is only a matter of getting some things dropped. Pull up a chair, your cigs, and something to drink folks! I can finally talk about what the hell is going on with my Brother and the Skank!
Okay for those who are just now reading my blog let me give a bit of a back story. Two and half years ago my brother knocked up a woman that he swore he loved. The family knew the only reason he married the skank was because of the baby, he wouldn't listen to us. Well the Skank as I fondly refer to her had problems with DHS in NC because she doesn't take care of her teenage daughter or her young son. Who by the way both have varying medical problems. Daughter has a form of thyroid desease and her son has autism (which the docs and dhs in NC are like us believe mamma brought on to theboy). After my nephew was born, the skank was NOT allowed to be anywhere near my nephew for two weeks because she was fucked in the head the docs said. It took my brother to reason with DHS to not take her two other kids from her and get her able to be left alone with my nephew. Then when my brother got stationed down in TX right before my family moved to TX, the Skank and all the kids went to live with my parents. She gave my paernts hell. Spent all my brother's money, made his life hell, and our lives hell. My mom and dad finally put their foot up her ass and let my brother know what she was doing. She just picked up and moved her and the kdis down to TX to be with my brother. Wouldn't let my brother and see me or my family at Thanksgiving time. And went out of her way to piss me the fuck off with her shitty behavoir towards me and my family when we visited her. All the while talking shit about the entire family and trying to get my brother to break all ties with his family because she has no blood ties to her own family because they are as fucked up as she is! Then my brother got stationed out in CA for a month before he was shipped over to Iraqi. Now listen up this is where it gets interesting!
The family backed off of my brother and his skank after the fiasco of our visit in January of 06, telling him to handle his business with us fucked up wife. To everyone's knowledge including my brother's, their marriage was going well, he was forcing the Skank to get medical treatment to all the kids (my nephew has sever sinus problems), and pretty much buying her everything under the sun. Then my brother got deployed to Iraqi and that is when the Skank started pulling her bull shit. At Thanksgiving time, my brother called to talk to his wife and the kids and heard a male voice in his house and one of the kids calling this man "Cousin Bob." He waited on the phone for the Skank to get back on and asked her who that was and she lied to him saying it was her Cousin Bob. Well actually a friend but he is like family. My brother out right accused of her of spreading her legs and she got pist and hung up on him. Next thing the family knows my brother is being told by Military Command not to be contacting his own family and they wouldn't tell him why!
Well the why of it was the Skank got so pist off with my brother because after he accused her of having an affair he sat down and went through finances and realized she wasn't paying the bills and there was no money to be found anywhere! So he cxl his checking account, started a new one, set up all the bills to be paid automatically and was only sending her 300 dollars a month. The military then told my brother, the Skank filed allegations against him and would NOT tell him what the allegations where unless he agreed to talk to them. He listened to us and refused unless he had a Jag lawyer. Which they denied him not once but three fucking times. Finally when NCIS (Naval Criminal Investgation) came to talk to him, he was provided a Jag officer and found out that the Skank alleged he did these things: Raped her, forced her to marry him (they were married for almost 2 year then, masterbated and walked naked in his own house, watched child and beast porn, and was controling of her and her kids.
When my brother came home from Iraqi, after the fact the military sent back 4 men who were going through divorces and other issues and refused my brother to go home early, no charges were pressed but his Commander sent him to 10 days of the brig. KNOWING my parents were out there to see my brother and KNOWING that no charges and no proof was found on any of the Skanks' allegations. The Military even helped the Skank get a civil restraining order against my brother so he couldn't see his son! Next thing we know the Military restrained him to base after they let him out of the brig and continued to let the Skank harasse my brother. By this time the family got him a criminal and divorce lawyer because the Skank filed divorce on my brother while he was still deployed. Which by the way is illegal but CA allowed her to do it because it was filed but as long as the person isn't served till they are home it is okay to CA. Even though Federal law says no it isn't.
This has been going on since April. Just two days ago and one week after what is called a Military Article 32 Hearing to see if charges were deemed necesary towards my brother for a Court Marital we got word that NO CHARGES will be pressed, NO Punishment, NOTHING was ever found to be proven towards the Skanks allegations. The Skank even convienced one of her friends to lie on the stand for her saying she say my brother assult the Skank in get htis ready for it.......A school parking lot! Interestingly enough nobody else saw the assult! The supposible Cousin who was fucking the Skank is coming up on Military Adultury Charges as we speak, and next week my brother goes to court to have the civil restraining order dropped. The only reason it was put on was based off of the Military allegations!
The Skank messed with the wrong mother fucking family! So did the Military:D My parents, my family, my sister's family, and both sides of the family relatives have been busy bombarding three State gov'ts on how the TwentyNine Palms Marine Base is ran and how one Lt. Cornal (sp) fucked over my brother but let up to a dozen other marines get away with hazing, other infractions, and go home to deal with simialr family stiuations. My brother's home state of NE, the state of MI, and the State of CA were all wrote about how the TwentyNine Palms Marine Base caters to the spouses of the Marines instead of the Marines that serve their country. The Skank doesn't realize it yet even though she lost it at the Hearing and started yelling it and other things out and made herself look a fool but she was right.......She is going to not only loose custody of my nephew but her other two lil bastards!
Now that this is taken care of but the divorce and we will keep that Skank in court any which way we can so she fucking looses, we already have her on slander, defermation of charcter, loose of rank and income of my brother, but also on neglect, mental instability, and no financial means to take care of my nephew let alone her other two fucked up kids! My brother according to Military Law can't sue the military for how they helped the Skank, but the family can:D Now the military is trying to tell my brother he will have to redeploy in September and they are bitching because my brother said kiss his ass! Ten to one the divorce won't be final by then and he is going for full custody. My brother is also planning on getting the hell out of the US Marine Corp so he can get full custody of his boy. Again interestinly the military is NOT redeploying the other four to six men they sent home in December of 06 and January of 07 to take care of their divorces. See how TwentyNine Palms is fucked up. I hope that Lt. Col. who fucked over my brother gets knocked down a few ranks and dishonorably discharged because he is the one that allowed the hazing over in Iraqi towards one of our own Corpman by other Corpman! The fucktard got called to the carpet for 3 days over multiple things right before he came down with his NO Charges and NO court marital towards my brother!
My brother listened to me and the Jag officer over in Iraq and refused to talk to the invistigation team and command unless he had a lawyer present! It took my brother over 3 months Nov-January to find out from the Military what the three charges were against him. Every time the NCIS (Naval Criminal Invistgation Service -whatever) tried talking to my brother, he wisely lawyered up because even the Jag officer said that is how these corpmen are getting hammered with charges for doing their jobs! They think they are safe talking to the invistagion team and they twist their words to bring charges on them. Anyway during this time, the Skank filed taxes and took all the money! We have no clue where the money went!
During all this the phone calls from the Skank to my parents tappered off and then boom in January she called my parents. Want toknow what that BITCH did to my nephew? My nephew is going to be 2 in June! She has NOT broken him of the bottle, lets him stay up all night, and only feeds him fast food crap. Well she neglected him so bad that my poor little nephew had to have some of his baby teeth pulled and the rest capped due to lack of enamal on his teeth! So my brother is a little less upset that his boy got some of the tax money, it went to pay for his dental care. The other money situation was she was NOT paying the bills, racked up his Star Card (military cerdit card for the commissary) and from what the family has found out for my brother, she is sending money back to WVA and NC to some sort of ATM type bank. So my brother had to hassle with getting money situated, taking her off his account, send her so much money a month, and changed his power of attorney to my mother and myself.
Now lets move on here to end of March, my mother and I have been hunting down various lawyers via phone and email to get him a divorce lawyer because he was going to file divorce when he got back. In March we changed it up to criminal lawyers because of these alligations she is saying against my brother. A week and half before my brother and the Battallion was due home the Skank went to command and added five more alligations against my brother! My parents at this time already decieded to go out for the welcoming party and to see if they could help my brother! Well my brother's Iraqi command was so pist at my brother for refusing to talk to them and NCIS that as soon as my brother's plane hit US territory they informed him, that he would be in the brig until he talked. My brother said fine. Not with out a lawyer. So my brother has been in the brig from the day he got back from Iraqi, serving his country because he used his head and lawyered up! This is command's way of getting even with him!
Luckily we had the Liasion Officer a Major P, working with my parents and he said that there was nothing going to really happen via the Military and my brother is NOT charged with anything and he would be out. Oh and by the way the Skank is under CPS investigation herself! And Bob is still living in my brother's house. There is still a civil restraining order against my brother where he can't see his boy all because the Military choose to believe the Skank initially and is ALLOWING her to fuck other corpman in a Sgt's HOUSE while he was in Iraqi! Even the other Military Spouses turned her in for that! Oh and as soon as my brother's plane hit US territory coming home, the Skank filed divorce. The Military's policy is if that is the case the non military spouse has 30 days to get the fuck off of base! The stupid Skank thought she had longer!
Okay so now lets jump to last night, the family is having a big oh laugh over the Skank now, even if my brother still has a CPS hearing on May 8th. The Military did their invistgation of the alligations she leveled against my brother and guess what! My brother is out of the brig but is confined to based till the hearing in May w/ CPS. We found 3 more of the alligations are you ready for this :D My brother walks around naked in his own house (yes he has a 14 year old step daughter) but that is full of shit because A it is his own house B the girl should be in bed late at night when he may do it and C BULLSHIT my brother has stayed with other friends, my parents, and my family and ALWAYS wears shorts when around other people and children! The second of the new three we found out is: My brother forcered the Skank to marry him! Yep two years after they were married she is saying he FORCED her to marry him! And the third is that he was NOT sending her support money! Which that is a major fuck up on her part because A he was having all the bills taken out of his pay check and B the Military was taking money out of his paycheck to give to her ON my brother's request! We don't know what the last two alligations are but we will find out today or in a few days because my brother is leaving tomorrow from base to come home for a bit.
Now what the Skank really screwed up on is she filed false alligations against the Command of a Marine Base! She is stating that they did NOT help her concerning my brother! She is still at my brother's house because of the invistgation that CPS has on her. Oh and Bob her lil fuck daddy, is still in my brother's house near my nephew! The May Hearing involving my brother and CPS, and now the alligations she is throwing out at the Command! Command has done a lot for her and NOT their own corpman,a Sgt in the US Marine Corp. She done fuckeded up! Granted my brother still has to go to this Hearing on May 8th to find out if the State of CA is going to press charges but he NOW has the backing of the US Marine Corp and a Criminal Lawyer who by the way is an EX MARINE! The bitch fucked with the wrong family! She has DHHS/DHS/CPS cases around the country and we as a family recently found out some documents we are having another EX MARINE lawyer in our area working on to find more detailed info of criminal charges. Not to mention we are fairly certain that she was NOT divorced from her second Bastard's daddy when she married my brother.
Needless to say our family is pist! And it is going to be felt through the states because according to both ex marine lawyers, the Military HATES bad press and it looks like once we get this shit taken care of we may have to give one of the News stations (national) a tip on how the Military goes after it's own Warriors and allows allow corpmen to live in another soldier's house with his family ON BASE while he is fighting for them! We may never see my nephew again, but we will make sure that his Skanky mamma has a life full of trouble. And we will do it legally, even though my sister and I would love a few hours alone with the Skank:D
