Clearing out some random thoughts...
Well this morning it will be official - I'm going to be a soccer mom. After swim classes this summer we would head to our favorite park and would always see a group of young kids Av's age playing soccer. He wanted to play with them, but since it was an organized class, he couldn't just jump in. So I asked one of the parents about the program, got the info, and signed him up for the Fall session. We've got our "PeeWee" sized shin guards and size 3 ball and we'll head out into the overcast day! The best thing about this park though? Bathrooms.
I watched the first episode of the new season of Survivor. It was just as good as in past years, and I don't think that people should get as riled up as they are about the tribes being divided along racial lines - because you know they are going to get mixed up at some point anyway, and it is after all...just a TV show. I did find it interesting the tension within the Asian tribe, when some of the Asian American survivors were getting upset with the Vietnamese member of the team (he is the only one not born in the US, came over as a refugee during the Vietnam war) because he has been making Asian ethnic jokes, which was upsetting them. I haven't yet pegged a winner yet, but we'll see. In more exciting news, The Amazing Race returns on Sunday night! I can't wait for Phil to come back...
