^{I finally got my official Certification as a Therapeutic Riding Instructor from NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association)  I may be the first person to qualify as a Instructor with Multiple Sclerosis.}

Many of you may have heard about this father and his love for his son, but it was sent to me in an email today and it made me cry all over again.  This son expressed his desire to compete, and this father went all the way.  It makes me think of what my heavenly father has done for me, because I am totally unable to succeed without his help.  Among my handicaps are fear, ignorance, selfishness, vanity and pride, among many others, but he lends a helping hand, unselfishly and with grace and longsuffering to make me a conqueror.  "I can do all things through Christ, which strengtheneth me."

OK OK.. I am doing it after much convincing.  I formally am currently in Phase 1 of the testing procedure for a therapeutic riding Instructor thru NAHRA (North American Handicapped Riding Association).

.  I have to pass two written tests and then see if they will accept me for Phase 2.  If so, I need to travel to a testing center and ride specific patterns, on a horse do not know, and be interviewed. Could be in CA or out of state.

I guess my background as a Speech Pathologist, my lifelong connection with horses and Multiple Sclerosis has lead me to this adventure..............it is my dream and who knew it would come to me in such an strange fashion?

Life is a WILD ride!!!!!!!!!!!!  Ya think?

_{I just got an email from one of my past instructors, telling me how to proceed to be a certified NARHA  instructor.  Very exciting for my future and i have to wonder where this will take me.  i have always dreamed of being an equitation or jumping instructor, and now i may work with a population that really needs the help!  NARHA is the North American  Riding for the Handicapped governing body.  Always a door opening.................}
