Half Blood Prince @ MindSay
Yes I know this is old news for some but hey I finally had a moment to dedicate to read.
Now I need to finish some drawings if I can get to that too.
Ginny Potter : The Analysis By Clare Ann
In a book as popular as Harry Potter there must be romance. Everyone cares about love triangles and J.K knows how to exploit this. Recently she has called people who support the Hermione/Harry ship delusional and asked for us to re-read the books. She may be right but it is her own fault. She could clear everything up but she has not. What Half Blood Prince did, is apparently decided once and for all who stays with who at the end. We will examine the Ginny/Harry relationship chapter by chapter. Try to keep an open mind.
I.Chapter Five: An Excess of Phlegm
Ginny appears for the first time in HBP in Chapter five: An Excess of Phlegm.
"Ron's younger sister slouched into the room, looking irritable. "Hi Harry"
Notice how she is described as irritated (as with we all know she feels this way because Fleur is getting married to Bill) Ginny enters the book with a negative attitude something that will remain for the rest of the book. Ginny will be found irritable by readers because her character has been changed so much, she actually is almost like a new character dropped on us without any consideration.
"Its her" said Ginny plonking herself down on Harry's bed" "She's driving me mad"
Here we go again with the lack of character development. Ginny who was once nervous around Harry (and who supposedly never gave up on him-see later chapters) gains the sudden confidence of a rock star. Also notice that Harry didnt pay any special attention to Ginny. This was the moment where JK could start the development of the ship to make it look realistic. She missed the opportunity and drops the Ginny bomb on us on later chapters which leaves readers wondering what the hell happened? Any ship that does this is not written correctly or maybe it was what JK intended (here we have the love potion speculation, where evil slughorn made Harry fall for Ginny in order to distract him thus causing what happened at the end of HBP-the will and wont theme) This kind of relationship doesnt have any precedent at all in English Literature.
"Its the way she talks to me-you'd think I was about three!"
Ginny is really mad at Fleur. But she comes off as arrogant when she makes this comments. Maybe it is because she is jealous of Fleur's beauty because inside she really is insecure. How could someone like this be the life partner for Harry?
"Oh, that's right defend her," snapped Ginny. "We all know you can't get enough of her"
This is again the jealousy monster coming out of Ginny. This is also a clue that she is not really over Harry and that she used Dean in order to get Harry( Poor Dean).Lets recap:
Ginny=Jealous,Arrogant,Extremely Confident and manipulative( using men)
Then we being the whole Mother-Daughter Discussion.
"Mum hates her" said Ginny quietly.
Again nothing positive. Ginny wants to make sure that her hateful comments get through.
"Including you and Dad" said Ginny slyly.
We can add Sly to the list. That how Ginny and future soul mate of Harry defends herself. Is she really in gryffindor? *Slytherin*Cough*
"A Cow" said Ginny (Refering to Fleur)
Do you remember when was the last time you call someone names? Yes, when you were really inmature just like Ginny!(If she is indeed Harry's Soulmate hopefully she'll grow out of this stage she is after all a teenager)
"Do you really want her around forever"?Ginny asked Ron. "Well, Mum's going to put a stop to it if she can, I bet you anything"
Thats a great idea! NOT. Ginny has complete disregard of Bill's and Fleur's feelings. She is selfish and only thinks of whats best for her.
After this they discuss the Tonks scheme. Hermione acts as jealous as Ginny when Harry mentions her abilities. After this Ginny scornfully snaps at Harry. This is again Ginny's manipulative nature. Harry instantly wishes he hadnt spoken. Ginny and Harry are not equals. They dont even have compatible personalities. In a Ginny/Harry relationship Ginny would wear the pants. The only common bond they share is Voldermort (and that isnt a good bond to base a relationship of) For Ginny Harry is a prize. She is a fan girl.
After this Mrs. Weasley asked Ginny to help her with lunch.
"Im talking to this lot! said, Ginny Outraged.
This gives me a great mental picture of a self-centered teenage girl. I dont really see any similarities with Lily.
Thats all for now. Im currently writing the next analysis for the rest of the chapters. Ill post on analysis daily until the breakup of Harry/Ginny.
Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince Random Thoughts:
Snape is not evil. He is still loyal to the Order.
You must be thinking that I am crazy and that the book reveals at last that Snape is indeed evil. Why then when Harry was fleeing Snape was actually coaching him? Dont you think that if Snape really hates Harry he would have done something? After all this time being made look like a fool by Harry he flees without even hurting him a tinsy bit? My Theory is this: Snape is still with the order, he has always been. He was just following Dumbledore's orders.( How could the greatest wizard of all time not know what was coming?)Snape is bound to Harry because his karmic debt to James.(James saved Snape's life). Also i've come to believe there is something going on between Snape and Lily but it is all speculation.
Ginny is really annoying.
I dont really know what JK was thinking when she decided to give Ginny the big role that she plays in HBP. She comes out of nowhere and becomes the most powerful witch, the most popular and the best at sports. Even Slytherins admire her! She snaps at Hermione, Hexes people and is really really mean to Ron and Fleur ( poor Fleur) but this is viewed in the book as great. She is super Ginny! or as I like to call her Ginny-Sue. She uses men ( thats what she did because she said that she never really gave up on Harry). I really liked the pre-HBP Ginny. She was normal, nice and not perfect. Right now she is almost as important as the trio. What I cannot understand is this: If you have a sister that is younger than you, do you let her hang around you and your friends constantly? She is now an important part of the trio ( if it is still a trio). I wish we had more Neville and Luna time but no! we had to read about super-Ginny. Hopefully she will disappear soon. By the way I hated the cheesy-breakup part. So spider-man like. Tsk
What if Harry himself is a Horcrux?
Just think about it. What if the Scar ( as an independent entity is the horcrux) What if Harry is the heir of gryffindor and because of the heir polarities Voldermort's plan backfired and part of his soul went to Harry(explaining why he can feel Voldermort). This theory is not as far-fetched as it seems.
What will happen in book 7?
I think that Hagrid or someone from the Weasley clan will die. (Ron's death is forshadowed). I think the big secret that will be revealed about Lily involves Snape somehow. Bottomline: Malfoy,Snape and Pettigrew will betray Voldermort in the end. Harry will live and many will die.
Pararells
Slughorn is evil! Yes, Indeed he is. If you analize the books closely they all parallel each other ( except GOF that stands alone). In book one we think that Snape is evil but he is not (Snape in book 7-same view) and then Quirell that was believed a good guy but he wasnt (Slughorn) .
P.S: Sorry for the bad grammar:)

Meagan posted this on her blog. I wanted to also let the news be known.
Its nice isnt it?
They had to blindfold me, because I wouldn't let that darn scalpel near me. I don't like my cheek swollen.
I'm listening to Désenchantée on repeat, all because of Andrew.
So I'm at Dad's this week. I just found out Sunday evening, and realised I had to pack and leave the next morning. Luckily there's not too much I need to pack anyway.
Last night was quite a horror. My dad had to treat the workers to dinner, to show appreciation for trying to meet the deadline with it thunderstorming and the sun shining so hard it could fry an egg without a pan outside. He got really drunk. It was terrible. I was so upset.... Don't want that to ever happen to him again. Not his fault though. //sigh// His job is hard.
In a way, what he did was quite funny, but not at the time. He did so many silly stuff, and I tried my best to not be too upset. He was making quite a fool of himself. I was quite angry last night, but I'm OK now. I even went and told him some of the silly things he did, and laughed with him about them.
Finished Digital Fortress today, and went code-breaking on the website. Still can't find out what the code at the back of the book means, but maybe because it's a different printing company, it doesn't. Or, I really don't get how it works, though I guessed and then looked it up. The answer on the website is not what I got though. I think it really is a different publication.
Now I only have one Dan Brown book left- Deception Point. Probably going to start that tomorrow.
So far, this summer, I've read:
- Middlesex (finished the second half this summer)
- Angels & Demons
- Kite Runner
- The DaVinci Code
- Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
- Digital Fortress
I love how I find out about plans last minute. When I'm at school, I'm in control of my own life, so I know what's going on. When I'm home, my mom tells me what happens that day, and complains I get up too late when she makes me get up, and that we're going to be late for something I didn't know was happening. Now what does she expect? Tell me what's happening and when before so I can get ready for it? //sigh//
I was just informed that I have to get up early tomorrow, and it's 12am now. WTF?
Guess it's time for me to go to sleep.
