Guinea Pig @ MindSay

Yay and also a word to my friends...
Thank you again for showing up for our party on Saturday. I was so happy to see all of your faces there. Each and every one of you made that special part of the party just fabulous. Thank you from the bottom of my hear and heart of my bottom!!!!

I'll have more kitten photos this week soon. For now I thought I should introduce another one of our family members.

This is Othello. Savannah's schoolmate's guinea pig had babies and we ended up getting one. We named him for his colors; black and white. We call him Otho as a nickname.

He is very sweet but in need of taming. So everyday we try to handle him as much as possible. He just loves to talk.

In case you are wondering why my posts have been few and far between I have been busy working on the house. I should have pictures of that soon enough but I'm waiting for a few things to fall into place before I do. (Some of you already know what I'm up to.)

Bwahahaa!

Rusty
I put Rusty on my lap this morning to stroke while I had breakfast and by golly, whatever it was I was eating, he wanted to have his share.  It was Special K so I figured it was fine and gave him some.  He's very much of the "I'll try anything once" mindset - he chewed the buttons off my TV remote!  Not just gnaw and spit out but actually injest.  I cannot account for his tastes!  Click here for a cute picture of him and my parent's dog Max: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y254/Orchidinthesnow/MaxandRusty.jpg

Rusty
Rusty is my guinea pig and I like him very much. There's lots to like. I like how he lies still and purrs when I stroke him the right way. I like his fuzzy little face. I like the moments when I catch him dozing, lying on his side with his foot sticking out to the side and his eyes half shut. I like how he lifts his head, closes his eyes, stretches his feet straight out front and yawns. I like when I rub his sides and he stretches and his little body vibrates and both feet are stuck straight out behind him. I like how he walks around his cage wheeking to himself. I like how sometimes he will jump straight up in the air for no apparent reason. I like how he greets me in the morning as I'm on the way to the bathroom by putting his front paws up on his tub and whistling for his breakfast.
