Green Grass @ MindSay

Happy pre-mothers day!

Yeah, its Saturday as I write this, but it felt like today was mother's day today, as tomorrow my kids will be with their mother.

Generally, had a great day with the girls and my parents. We went to a yard sale and the people gave my youngest daughter some stuff free of charge, on the way home she explained why, "they gave me the stuff for free because I am so cute!". Right she is, lol.

Nice spring day to, grass is turning green, leaves are coming out, very beautiful.

Tomorrow going to spend the day with my mother for mother's day, think my sister and I are going cook supper for her, lol, should be interesting.

Anyway, thats all I have to say :P

+I'm Thinking+
Dear Journal,
It's nearly 11 p.m., and I am still wide awake. I have been infixed on a book I got from the school library for the whole week, and I'm almost done with it. By tomorrow, I will be finished. And I will remember that it was a pretty good read. It is called "Election." I don't recall the author's name though. An easy read too. I just need A.R. points for English class.
I haven't written in my journal under my bed for a good long while, who knows when I'll finish that and go out to buy a new one. I won't rush it I guess.
I will sleep in as late as possible. Only enough time to shave my legs tomorrow morning. I will sleep in my outfit for tomorrow. It will be niiice. Cody's red shorts and one of my Aunt's shirts that I brought home from Philly.
Another update, I begun driving the fence posts for the one section of the horse fence yesterday, and my dad came over and helped me finish the job. There is a section of the pasture fenced off right now, and after planting grass seeds soon this or next week, it will grow to be nice and greeeeen for the horsies. *happy* After it's grown, My father and I will put a gate up and let the horses in. It will be a section used to keep the horses out of our way when we are cleaning the stable and working on it's improvements. And it will be used rarely for the horses to graze. There will be a long pathway back to a big section of pasture that we already have fenced in so the horses can freely roam back there for grass. I may also put a crappy gate down there for machinery to get into to till the ground and plant grass seeds. I can keep that closed off until grass has grown for them to eat and then their summer will be luxurious! *lol* WIth the electricity we have running through the fence now, they won't be getting out at all.
And definitely before Spring is over, I want to take a few trees from the woods to plant inside the pasture for shade for the horses. Maybe I can even put the water tub under the shade so the water doesn't produce algae so much. My horses can't graze in the heat all day. A tree would make everything come together too.
Improvements to the stable will be awesome and cheap. Many things will change to make both the horses and I happier. I can't wait until the changes are made and pictures are posted on MindSay. I can only keep thinking of new ideas for my horses and their pasture.
I better get to bed. It's after 11!

Sorry if I bored you to death about my horses and such. They're so important to me. My dreams are fianlly coming true about their pasture and stable.

Farewell.

Lucia and more

Today is St Lucia day. :) I went to a Lucia celebration early this morning. They had the traditional Lucia, Christmas songs and candles on the tables. You got free coffee or juice and a ginger bread and a cake. It was quite nice actually. It started at 7 am but I came there around 7.30. They had the same program twice, so I didn't miss anything. Went back home about 8.40. It was a lot of people there.:)

They had Christmas lunch in the university restaurant today, so I've just eaten some. I only like the ham, but I did taste other things as well.

It doesn't really feel like Christmas when the grass is green and the sun is shining warm. Earlier I saw some 30 swans flying in the sky, screaming. I suppose they think it is spring and are returning now. Crazy birds! They should go back south, otherwise they will be in trouble when the water turns into ice and the temperatures drop low below zero, if it does that this winter.

I suppose I'm going with mum to the town this evening to see the Lucia parade. I don't really feel like going, but may be I will go anyway.

I am really waiting for a book that I reserved at the library, but it is still out. It's Susanna Clarke's book "Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell". I want to read it. Whoever have it should return it soon! The book is 1000 pages, but who cares if it is a good book. I must first read the one I borrow from the library. If I like it I might buy it from the book shop.
