Green Day @ MindSay

i know i'm totally late, but i thought it was important to announce that Green Day's new video, 21st Century Breakdown, is absolutely amazing. it's giving Walking Contradiction a run for it's money as my new favorite Green Day video ever. it's very dynamic and artistic, unlike Know Your Enemy, and the visuals correspond with the lyrics very well, unlike 21 Guns. it's easily the best video off of this album, even though i'm not too crazy about the song itself.

i can't wait to see the official video for East Jesus Nowhere. THIS is sort of an unofficial video for EJN and i don't think the band had anything to do with it. amazing quality, though, and a good, relevant story that goes well with the song.

Because this is my FAVORITE Green Day song and they performed it last night <3

Green Day's gunna be on The tonight Show with Conan O'Brien tomorrow night. i expect you ALL to watch it, got it?!?!

 

other shit: i've been going out with my boyfriend for like 6 weeks now. yaaay, my longest real relationship ever! but, of course, there be problems. i've been getting a lot of pressure to have sex. the twist is, the pressure's not from him, it's from my friends. one friend feels like her and her bf are in competition with me and mine. she feels she's "winning" because they had sex already. another friend thinks it makes the relationship "officially serious", which is bull shit. i've been ignoring it so it hasn't caused any problems in my relationship with him- we'll be ready when we're ready and i love my boy even more for being patient with me.

but, seriously, does anyone else see a HUGE fucking problem with this?

Green Day news!

-one week until 21st Century Breakdown.

-tickets are almost on sale for the tour (and i have no money! *SAD FACE*)

-Green Day will be on saturday night live on the 16th, aka next saturday

-and "the leak" has begun. i'll again urge you not to listen to it yet, no matter how tempting it is. strangely, Green Day's been promoting the links on their myspace. wtf?

-i have, however, heard a few songs played on the radio along with an interview and i must say, East Jesus Nowhere is amazing. it should have been the first single. it's a thousand times better (at least!) than Know Your Enemy.

-another small thing about the album: Billie Joe goes falsetto. it's never happened before and i think it's beautiful, from what i've heard.
