Greek Life @ MindSay

Mistakes
Hello, dear reader.  I'm Maria.  And I'm starting this, because my friend and I have decided that we've made a lot of mistakes.  We've made so many, in fact, and they are so strange and unbelievable that I cannot keep silent any longer.  I'm going to tell you, my dear reader, all of them.
I hope you enjoy, because it's been not only stressful, but amazing, and in the sheer bizzare nature of it all, I've had a lot of fun; a lot of heart ache; a lot of laughs.
I'm looking forward to you having fun, too.

Wise words from my grandfather . . .

Shoot, I can't remember it exactly.  (Feel free to offer edits.)  But I'll try:

"When you're old, and you look back upon the pictures of you from today, you'll see a Greek God, but if you wait all you'll see is an old Greek."

MEME FUN!

Versatile, intelligent and artistically talented. You love to enjoy yourself and tend to experience a happy domestic life and material success. You have a methodical and thorough mind and are able to organise large projects easily. Charming and likeable and with more than your share of sex appeal you tend to find yourself in the spotlight and much admired by others. Life is more fun with you around.

Strokes the ego, doesn't it?

Greek Update

All so Greek Week has begun and let me tell you it has been freakin awesome! Starting with Saturday night, we had bowl for kids sake for Big Borthers/Big Sisters.  The Greeks have been estimated to have raised over a 1000 dollars alone. WAY TO GO GUYS!!!!  Sunday Night was the Lambda's night, but there camping trip was cancelled and it turned into a pj party. Unfortunately, I had to work and our sorority held elections at 11 at night. Thank you guys so much for working around my schedule.  The elections went pretty simply only having to vote on one position. From what I can remember, Amy got president, Megan has vice president, Rachel as treasurer, Hilary has secretary and will head up the fundraising committee, Jenny will continue with Historian, Bobbie and Stacy will split activities, and I will be the New Member Orientation Leader.  It is going to be an interesting year let me tell ya! Continuing on with Greek week though, Monday night TOGA party at the Theta's house. We also had color wars at the school..both we very well done! Yesterday was the eating contest, my congrats go out to the girls who ate that crap, Sue (who man handled the Spam), Jes, and Whit. You guys did awesome. Theta took it with the Lambda's second.  It was Delta Flip Cup Night. Another awesome Party. Today is Sig Obstacle Course and our costume party. Tomorrow is greek bbq and Phi Kap KEG RACES at our house. Friday night is the chariot (which we are not doing), greek banquet, Juliana Theory Concert, and Sig Pong tourney. Saturday is GREEK WALK. Its going to be a killer week. I will try to keep everyone updated.

Oh yes for everyones info, I have started going to more classes and got a 80 on my abnormal psychology test and 90 on my management class. Maybe, Just maybe I can pull all my credits outta this mess.

Party on Wednesday!! Yay!!

We're having a sorority party tomorrow night and I'm so excited.  We will be kicking off 4 nights of greek parties.  (Awww, it's like a mini Greek Week.)  I'm majorly pumped about our theme though.  We're finally doing CEOs and Corporate Hos, and I'm expected some really good costumes from our brothers.  We're also combining it with a "What Would You Do For a Dollar?" theme.  When everyone comes in, they will get a certain amount of fake money.  They can bet or dare other people to do things for this money.  Whoever has collected the most money by like 11:30 pm will get a bottle of liquor.  Yay!  They unofficial theme is just Money.  We'll have stock market reports covering the doors and windows and stuff like that.  It should be a good time.

I got to bed early again last night, around 11:00 pm or so.  I'm liking this whole go to bed early, get up early thing.  Now though, I am trying to work on an essay that is due for my class at 1:00 pm.  I'm nervous about getting it done because I have Greek Council at 12:00 pm and this essay isn't going to be as easy as the last one.

I called the insurance company yesterday, and now I'm just waiting for the claims representative to call.  The insurance man said it *should* be a comprehensive claim, which means I wouldn't have to pay anything.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Off to write this essay.  I know it's going to be bad...
