A day in cologne
This weekend I was visiting my friend Tina in Cologne. I haven't seen her for months.

We went to the Dom to see the awesome gargoyles. After that we had brunch in a tiny, sweet bistro near the mainstation.

It was a great weekend and I was really glad to see Tina. And she also was surprised to hear about my daughters pregnancy.

I hope it'll not take another few months to see her again.

Pizza, Pumpkins, and Politics

We had another enjoyable weekend at home this past weekend. Saturday, we got together with the family including our Great-Nieces and Nephews from South Carolina. We played with the horses, played chess and basketball, and fixed homemade pizza for dinner. Here is a picture of our future Rock Star, Great-Nephew, Nolan.

Sunday, we went to our friends, Sandy and Shila's house and decorated pumpkins. We had the news turned on and they were reporting on all of the negative campaigning, and our pumpkin got a little sick of it.

Before we left home yesterday, we stopped by the early polls and voted. Here is the new video from Andy, Opie, and Fonzie.

1001 Dreams is my Favorite Theme Weekend!!!

Yeah!  Yesterday was the Second weekend of the Texas Renaissance Festival and the theme was 1001 Dreams.  That is the Fairy weekend.  There are alway fairys, pirates and barbarians at every Fest weekend but 1001 Dreams abounds with fairys.  That is of course my preferred costume (obviously) because I can just go all out and have tons of fun with it.

I took my car and Myclette, Environgirl and her friend M rode with me.  As many of you already know we met up with CallmeRoger and Uykou met us there as well and we all hung out for the day.  I had a great time with all my friends but the day ended too quickly!  RawJah and his lady got there earlier than us but we made it about 11am.  Just in time to catch the Other Brothers show.  I always try to catch them.  They are a juggling act that is always there.  They are funny!  Egirl decided not to wear the sleeves of her costume or the wings but we managed to nail her down for a picture with it all on before we went in...

After that we met up with RawJah and visited.  We saw lots of great costumes, lots of great food and lots of great drinks! LOL!

Everybody flipped out over my eyelashes this year.  They are these great big green feathers.  I had lots of people stop me and want to take a picture with me.  That's pretty unusual for me.  The always want pictures of Egirl and not me.

PS... wow, I couldn't see anything!  LOL

Here's a great one of Mycki!

and here's RawJah doint his steriotypical asian photographer!  He was super funny.  Everytime anyone asian passed him he would bow and say Moshi Moshi!  It was super Nerdy!  LOL

And isn't ukyou toooo adorable???

They are such a cute couple...

This is a random couple I got to pose for me... Their costumes were awesome.  Aren't her wings super?

AND NOW... I think we all know what time it is now!  Barbarians galore!  Lot's of super cool dudes in super cool costumes...

Here's a rockin' Centuar.

Here's a really cool leather clad warrior.

Rockin' warrior chick on REALLY big horse.

OK... These German guys are funny... (and apparently they could get "lost in there" ALL day!)  LOL

Egirl and Myckie and fun with them too!

I've had one with this Conan style dude before!

Towards the end of the day we went into the Hookah bar and had a little sumthin'!  LOL... Chocolate Mint!

We followed this with a little shopping and Fireworks before heading home.

I'll probably do another picture post with some cute shots.  I thought this was Long enough for now! LOL

i'm a good kid. really.
this weekend so far i (in chronological order):

1.) went on a date.
i wore make up and the whole bit. and she noticed! and it counts as a real date. <3

2.) turned down a party.
i decided that i'm going to stop drinking. which is big for me because i'm really bad at the whole, "don't give in to peer pressure" thing. but i'm going to really try. i didn't want to quit because of April 18, so i drank last weekend thinking it would help me forget. but it just made me think about it more. i hated it. so i plan on stopping.

3.) went bowling with Ashley Bowling.
haha. it was fun. i hung out with a lot of people. and i took a really good picture of myself in Ashley's car.

4.) saw Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull.
and it really wasn't that great. like, if i didn't read the credits at the beginning, i still would've known that Steven Spielberg worked with George Lucas. it started out really cool and like, ancient artifact-y. but then it just went all E.T. not so great.

5.) got coffee with martinez.
and not only rode in his new el ca-beaner, but DROVE it! man, i felt so butch. it is definitely near the top of my list of times where i've felt most lesbian. haha. wow. but that was fun, i'm not even going to lie. he's been talking about it for months and now i actually know what he's been saying. its like, really tricked out and stuff. i guess. super engine. great air circulation? i don't even know. it's loud and eats gas. and fun to drive. haha.

i'm having a good weekend.
:D
