Have Your Writing Published on Divine Caroline!

DivineCaroline is a website by women for women.  (Men are not excluded, they can visit and contribute as well.  However, the content of the site will always be about women.)  It's name came from the thought that women are divine, combined with the name Caroline (which belonged to a freind of one of the founders that was inspirational).  The point of the site is to have a place where woman can share their lives, worries, triumphs and disappointments.  What makes it different?  You can share your favorite recipes, anecdotes, parenting tips, marital avice and more!  Each article displays the author's name.  Best of all, it is a very professional looking site.  It is one of the best I've seen.

Why would you want to contribute to this site?

If you are a freelance writer or want to be one, it would be a great way to become known as a niche topic writer.  Write about your favorite hobby.  You can publish an article about your favorite parenting tips, review favorite children's toys or even share your popular recipes.

How can you get people to see your involvement?

DivineCaroline has widgets that can be displayed on your blogs or websites.  You can choose your favorite category such as Parenting Tips and Advice, Finance  or the one you contribute to the most and place the widget on your myspace, friendster or facebook!

Visit the site today and register to add your content.  They are currently running a huge contest to win several thousands in gift certificates.  The contest ends October 1, 2007.  Hurry and enter for your chance to win!

Take a look at the site below!

Saturday Diversions
I love our WTF Radio listeners and supporters. I really do. You guys rock so much, you cause an earthquake beneath my breast.

Tyger, a ferocious movie about the power of nature. Hints of bitterness with poignant  and vicious beauty.

Speaking of movies, a site for TDB Special Projects has short movies that are based on color themes. For example: Red, one of my favorites.

Thank the stars and the internet for holding onto older content. Like George Hernandez's blog from 2004. Great links. It's where I found this site for Japanese styled gardens. This page has quite a few ornaments that tickle my fancy. That's where I found these fancies:

Play Classic Nintendo Games For FREE!

This is a great site to bookmark.  Why?  You can visit while you're waiting half an hour for customer service to resolve your inquiry.  You can visit when you're bored.  Actually, this is a great siter for early gamers.  You know, those that remember Galaga, PacMan and Space Invaders ( www.excessively.net was one of the first two sites to offer classic Nintendo games online).

Why not use the site that's advertised on TV?  Well, that's simple.  They charge you to use these vintage games.  Not at this site!  You can play free online games as long as you want!  No fees, no time limits, no upgrades.  How great is that!  So, I'll be killing some time trying to beat my highest scores at some of my favorite games!  Have fun reminiscing....

Busy, busy, bloody busy
Hey..

Sorry I haven't been on or read your blogs or even bothering blogging myself, I have been really busy.

Laine and I have been building websites and working bloody hard. I guess if you read her blog, you'll know.

Laine has done some fantastic work on her website and know some of you have had a look at it and given her some great feedback. She deserves it, and although she says that I am a big influence on her designing skills, she should have all the credit because it's her vision.

Anyway, if you feel like it, you can have a look at my sites:

www.mattcardy.co.uk - my car sales site, I'm well proud of this, even though the stock is somewhat sparse, I need to update it and have loads more cars to go on it. See? Busy!

www.toptenonline.net - In the middle of adding links and stuff to this one, that's what I'm busiest with at the moment. It's basically a directory of loads of websites that I like. I've put them into a top ten format and  featured the number 1 website. Guess which Blog site made number 1??? Oh and I've not started the US site, just concentrating on the UK site for now, so if you look, look at the UK link.

www.mattcardyclassiccars.com - Ok, I picked the colors, but Laine built it and it's beautiful. Until I overhauled the mattcardy.co.uk site, this was my favorite, but it's certainly 2nd on my list.

www.circus-media.com - is my domain name and hosting and e-commerce site where you can buy all sorts of products, including a website for peanuts. Ok, not peanuts, but for a very low, low price. Oh, and for all my fans, friends and potential stalkers, THE NUMBER ON THIS SITE IS NOT OUR NUMBER - it is for the call center that handles technical support. So don't call it expecting to talk to Laine or myself. Thank you!

www.ecarsolutions.net - is also mine, but needs re-building as it's a part of another site at the moment which is crap and I'm not listing here. Oh bollocks, you can find it and laugh at me if you are that hard up to see it, so here it is - www.mattcardy.com - a bit about me and what I do... badly.

I'm sure my friends here are going to be jolly nice and respectful and buy lots of products from me and tell me how nice the nice sites are and how crap the crap ones are. But if anyone else wants to be constructive, please do, but if you're just going to tell me they're crap then you can F.O. and not reply. Thanks to you.

Also, if you want to state the obvious, please do, but they are works in progress and I have about 3-4 weeks worth of work to get them to a place where they can be construed as being finished. I know that some are empty. I have a lot of projects on the go and some are just taking a back seat. Like I say I'm busy.

Hope to catch up with you lot soon enough. Hope you all had a good Halloween and got good and drunk and enjoyed yourselves. I'm off. Ta-ta.

Wedding Resource

Here's a great resource for those that are planning their wedding.  This site has everything from bridesmaid giftts to wedding favors.  Anything you can possibly need can be found here in one place.  They even sell bubble containers in the shapes of flowers, for those that are conscientous of their environment!  There are great gift ideas and even items for the honeymoon!

Do you need to know the meaning of a tradition?  You can probably find it here.  Do you know five why almonds are often used in wedding favors?  The traditional almonds are a reminder that life is both bitter and sweet.  Five represents the number of wishes for the new husband and wife -- Health, wealth, happiness, children, and a long life!

Have fun looking at the site.  It has a lot of great gift ideas that can be used for other ocassions...
