My Three Day Weekend
So far, it is nothing to write home about.

I hit Barnes and Noble last night real hard. The trusty bargain book section was just boiling over with good stuff. So I left with plenty of reading material, as I usually do. Although last night was the first time I didn't even look at the magazines.

Currently, I am using mom's Eclipse to get around. We decided dad still needed his car, although he isn't driving. Mom takes him to various places during the day to get him walking, and he needs the larger, more comfortable car to ride in. So I have the Eclipse until the Rav4 comes home, whenever that may be. And I can't wait. I don't know what the hell happened, but apprantly I am too tall for my mom's car. I got in last night to see my head was right on the ceiling. So I had to move down in the seat, which left my knees up against the dash and my head was still only maybe an inch from the ceiling. Every time I hit a bump, my head went into the ceiling.

Which I don't get. Me and mom are pretty much the same height. I may be an inch or so taller now, but nothing really noticeable. She does fine in the car. Why am I hitting my head on the ceiling while my knees are all up in the dash?!

Today was a whole lot of nothing. The main excitement of the day was taking Lily out for her long walk. We met another dog that apparently she has met before. Lily meets her friends on her 7:00 walk and plays with them. This dog, Tomas, is one of her friends. He is an older beagle with grayish spots. Really odd looking little dog.

Anyway, it was embarrassing at first because she spent way too long giving him a good sniffing. And we couldn't pull them apart. But eventually Tomas got tired of her sniffing... and bit her on the side. Oh boy, was that fun. Lily jumps back, then tries to go in for more. So I'm pulling her with all my strength in one direction as Tomas' owner does the same in the other direction, and we finally got them apart.

There wasn't a mark left that I could see, so I don't think Tomas bit Lily hard, just enough to get his point across. But if she'd had her nose in my crotch as long as she had her nose in his (and she wasn't sniffing his butt, if you catch me) I would have bit her, too!

Otherwise, there was a lot of reading done today, a lot of watching the news, and a lot of playing GameBoy. I am determined to completely finish Urbz: Sims in the City. I am even using online cheats to help out on some of the harder bits.

I am thinking I have reached maximum nerdum. LOL!

NintendoDS
Ok everyone, tell me what you know about the Nintendo DS. Do you have one? Do you want one? Do you like it? I'm considering getting one for each of my older children for Christmas. They are 5 (he'll be 6 before Christmas), and 7. I have avoided video games, but they keep wanting one. My son actually has asked for a Gameboy, but I think he should have something at least slightly more up to date. I'm not talking about the NintendoDS Lite. That looks way too fragile for children their age. If they get these for Christmas it will be nearly the only thing they each get. Probably a game each, and one or two other small gifts. Let me know what you think of these games, please. :)

Animal Crossing...

..in my Game Boy DS.  Yup, I got it.  Its a fun and addicting game no matter what your age.  egseah recommended that I get it.  Good recommendation!...I'm having alot of fun in my little town.  Nintendo comes up with the most creative games.

Since the world you are living in in the game is supposed to be on going, you must save before shutting off the game.  Well, I had to rush and I forgot...so, when I next turned on the game, I got yelled at by a mole fo rnot turning it off...LOL

Another cool thing is that if your friends have the game, you are supposed to be able to have visitors.  Meaning if you have a friend that has the game, they can come in visit your town with an invite.  How cool is that?  I haven't tried it yet, I have to find a friend with the game first.

Hmm, a question that anybody can help with

I have an extreme phobia of needles, not sewing needles though, I could sew and poke myself all day, but specifically syringes and other long unpleasent pokey thingies, and I was wondering how I could get past this phobia, I mean, when I think about syringes I get very uncomfortable and I start to cry!

If anybody knows how to calm this problem before I become a nurse, let me know :)

I was thinking about hypnosis, it seems to work reasonably well, what do you think? :)

Anybody want to buy a project car?

This is a 1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS (with the 2.0 liter motor)

(Btw, I'm in Omaha, Nebraska :))

It has 130,000 miles on it, it still starts, and you can keep it alive, but not too easily, the motor is missing overdrive but can still get places, the problem is that the camshaft is sheared and some other problems, I'm surprised that it still tries to run, it's like a cockroach, but it's going for the grand total of..........

400$

yes, you read right...not 4000, but 400$!!!!

There's a lot of stuff wrong with it, but if you're a mechanic, or a starting mechanic, this would be an awesome thing to first work on XD
