Fun Night @ MindSay

      last night i went to my town's annual carnival thing, fun fun fun. there was a cover band that played and they were really good and i knew lots of the songs. we were going crazy in the very front, screaming and dancing like crazy and i was singing along most of the time. they opened with American Idiot and played 2 more Green Day songs in their set and closed with Enter Sandman.

       so anyway, they played the song Bad Girlfriend and at the part where it says "my girlfriend's a dick magnet" the singer pointed at me, smiled and raised his eyebrows, so i laughed and pointed at myself and nodded and he gave me a thumbs up and laughed. it was so funny.

       the drummer gave me a frisbee and i got it signed by all of them, even though they're just a cover band. during their break, i went up on stage and asked them individually to sign it for me. the bass player (who's probably like 40 but still cute) thanked me for being so enthusiastic and gave me a hug. he also gave me a guitar pick and every once in awhile, he came up and played really close and right in front of us and he'd stick out his hand and we'd all grab it. i think he liked the attention lol.

     my friends were dancing, too, but they weren't as into it as me since they listen to pop and country. when they were done we screamed for one more song, but they said it was already past their time limit.

I had a pretty fantastic night. While I didn't end up going further downtown to catch a movie and eat, I still ended up having a good time. I went down to the campus radio station because my friends called me telling me they had a surprise there. I had no idea what to expect, so I ended up going, and lo and behold, my friend Cameron came and surprised me! Man, I miss that kid, it's always a pleasure to see him! We caught up some, talked about recent troubles and all that jazz, and I showed him around campus a bit since I had to run back to the dorm to pick up my laptop.

This was the second time I have been to the radio station on campus to see my friend Derek spin, and this time was way cooler because I got to sit in the actual room where all the action goes on. Later on more of my buddies came by to see the show, and I got some monster bear hugs in for the night. It was nice to finally do something different from the norm, and I was in the station from about 9 PM to 1:30 AM. After I said bye to everyone who came to visit from back home (Cam wasn't the only one, but he's the one I know out of the group that came) I went and hung out with my friends David and Jenni and we got some food. It was a good time, it kind of sucked I had to head back to the dorm, as Jenni wanted me to crash at her place, but I really have a lot to do before the weekend ends.

The only bad part of the night was the 20-25 minute walk across campus back to my dorm. It was FREEZING ouside. It's forecasted to snow here in Georgia within the next 8 or 9 hours, and I walked back in the rain, while it is about 35 degrees outside! My hands are killing me and I'm shaking because I'm still feeling the cold! At least I changed into dry clothes once I got back! While I am feeling kind of miserable on the outside, I had a really nice night, and am pretty happy! If you can't tell what my title is about, it's about past events that have resurfaced recently, and taking a more positive light to the situation.

And on a random note, my new and amazing friend monkeycookie will be happy to know I ate more than usual, and got a fairly healthy diet in today! I ate plenty of salad with my dinner, and had fruit for dessert. :] I know it's random, but just felt the need to throw that in there! Have a good day everyone! Today was fun. Around 4 this afternoon Mikko(my boyfriend) and Chris (a friend I've known since childhood, but have only become friends with in the past couple years) came over here, then we met up with Rob (a friend ive known since grade 9) and hung out at his place for a while. I've never been at his place, and he has alot of interesting things (like a real ninja star!(yes im a nerd). After a few hours of playing video games we started to head back to Chris's place (well, i was heading home, but its in that direction). However, on the way back we head a cat meowing across the street. The guys all being cat lovers and owners (im not included cause my moms allergic), thery decided to pick him up and ask some houses if it was their cat. We didnt find an owner, so back at chris's place we fed him and let him warm up as i leaped through the phone book trying to find a place for the cat. We couldnt find a place , so i think Chris and Mikko are just letting him out back on the streets before school tomorrow. Sounds creul i know, but what else is there to do? hes a stray, but even though he is sociable, he probably wont get along with the other cats.

 

It was an interesting and fun night. After we called up places we watched videos and basically kinda had a tickle fight and such:P I hacent had that much fun in a while.

so last night my friend's little brother, who is a freshman, was majorly hitting on me. via el text message. we totally joked it up with him.
he offered me sex and beer. but not before 12 pm, of course. his bedtime i guess. hahahahaha.

I did something the other night that I never thought would happen. It was hella fun.

I like how every so often I am surprised in such ways that make me feel good about myself. But then always, something seems to happen that puts me right pack in the place I was before.
