How do you feel, when there's no-one?
Feeder mini-tour at the end of May, yes yes yes. Excitement. At the moment only three dates have been announced, Northumbria Uni, Brighton Concorde II and Manchester Uni, kind of spread out over seven days so there's strong rumours of more dates to be added.

Regardless, I'll be going to the Brighton one, thinking of road-tripping it with FFSers Chloe and Eli, which could be fun. Either way, the best part is, it's a small venue tour, which is awesome in itself and will probably be the last chance I get to see them in a small venue.

Also on a gigs note, Marina finally gave my money to Ros for the Foo Fighters tickets (well, she claims to) so my name should definitely be on those now. Still pondering over my list of who to take - Emi's thrown her name into the hat now, so she joins Chloe and James from FFS, Christine, and Alan (although I think Alan is seeing Iron Maiden at Twickenham that day). We'll see.

At the moment I'm uploading Feeder albums to send to Kei (at her request, obviously... it's not like me to force music on people ;) ) and it's taking bloody ages, even with our new Sky router which is hardly any more effective than our last one. Pah. I'll leave it sending over night.

Two days til the weekend, hurrah...

Why does it have to be this way?

Miss You, a new song by Feeder, is the shit. I'm sorry, there's no better way to put it. It's awesome. And it's available for free download at www.feederweb.com.

Um, what have I to say? I'm definitely seeing Foo Fighters at Wembley in June now, after a friend of a friend's girlfriend decided to sell her tickets. I went for it and hopefully it'll pay off.

Went to the south coast on Friday, was awesome to be back there. Work's the same as ever, and I'm really looking forward to August.

I'm semi-planning a trip around Europe during the three-week break between finishing work and moving into my new house. Hopefully I'll have saved up a bit of spare money to afford it - although I hear it's rarely as expensive as you might expect. I might do it for charity aswell.

Been helping out Meph with his 'big project', which has actually taken up the most of my last couple of evenings, putting together lsits and crap doesn't sound like much, but getting the info is the hard part.

I miss you.

Done, Done, Onto the Next One
Quoting Foo Fighters seemed apt for this blog.

Why?

Well, I applied for two IT jobs the other week. One of the companies got back to me last week and said that I was unsuccessful. The other one hasn't got back to me yet, but I think it's fairly certain that I didn't get that job either. Still, it would be nice to know for sure, and I could be surprised.

In other news, I bought a hoody for a pound today. Brand new. Should've been £60. TK Maxx does have its perks on rare occasions, though they are happening more frequently now Mark's buggered off. Buggered off without actually saying goodbye...not that I'd say goodbye to the fat fucker anyway, he doesn't deserve it.

Am I bitter? Nah, not really. I just don't appreciate that he took all the credit when we did all the hard work, but then that's managers for you. They all do it. Harry did it at Game, and Mark's done it here.

To keep changing the subject quickly and for no apparent reason, I'm seeing Mena tomorrow :D We're going to watch Sweeney Todd and Cloverfield, which should be fun. I've been hearing good things about Cloverfield from the US, and Sweeney Todd just has to be awesome, doesn't it? After all, it's a Tim Burton film, and I haven't seen a bad Tim Burton film yet.

Speaking of awesome, Lost Season 4 starts tonight in Americaland, so I'll be watching that tomorrow night or Saturday, I imagine. Depends on how quickly I can get hold of it. That said, I might wait until Sunday night so I can watch it with Mena, as she'll be watching it on Sky One.

On that note, I hope the writer's strike ends soon. It's been ages since I've watched any decent telly, though I should really start watching Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, as that looks pretty good. Dunno how many episodes got done pre-strike though. Not many, I'm imagining. Oh well, the quicker it ends, the quicker Heroes comes back on.

I saw Linkin Park last Thursday. They were awesome, it was a great gig to start the year off with, though because of the merchandise queues I missed half of Biffy Clyro's set ¬_¬ I also thought I'd missed the entirety of Julien-K's set, but found out later that they had to cancel their support slot, so that helped. It does help to explain why there was an hour's wait inbetween acts. Next gig I'm going to now is VAST, which is the 29th March. Yay.

Let's see, what else can I ramble on about? Living Sedative's second album isn't really doing too great. I've whored it on pretty much every forum I'm on, bar AWFF (nothing personal, but I'm never setting foot there again), and it's only garnered 3 downloads, so more promotion might be needed. Once I've finished blogging, I might jump on Facebook and see if I can finally add music onto the band's profile. If I can do that, that might help a little bit. Hopefully they liked the somewhat shakey pic of my passport that I took. Still, it's a start. Can only really rely on word of mouth, I guess.

This month saw the newest milestone in my relationship with Mena. 2 and a half years, and it still doesn't feel that long. Some days it feels longer, other days it feels shorter. This month also marked the 3rd year since Grandad passed away. I didn't dwell on it as much as I usually do, but he has been in my thoughts the past week or so. Still wondering whether I made the right choices. It's too late to change them, but I hope he forgives me for walking the path I chose. It just hurts sometimes that I never did take the chance to really say Goodbye, and that's something I think I'll be living with for a little while yet.

I think this is a good place to end the blog on. Until next time,

Now that's how it's done.

When I get ready to propose to whomever I want to marry I hope I can do it this way.

Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters helping some dude propose while at a Foo show... that just rock. No wonder why he is known as the nicest guy in rock music.

I hope the couple is all happy and married right now.

Mashup with Mom on My Mind...
... this has been the soundtrack inside my head for the past 72 hours or so. Perhaps it's the general theme of both songs (Times Like These by Foo Fighters vs. Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns n' Roses), the way they blend together so well, or the acoustic / electric hybrid sound. Or even Dave Grohl singing over Slash's famous guitar wail.

Anyway -- listen for yourself:  http://viprhealthcare.typepad.com/Mashuptown/Sweet_Times_Of_Mine.mp3 - mixed by Synchronize.

Aside from that -- it's all about getting back to normal one day at a time. Haircut. Clean shaven. Nice day downtown with the family. (See arrrgylesocks for pictures.) Starting to rehearse for the High Holidays.

*insert witty, clever ending to blog entry here*
