Festive @ MindSay

tonight we have tickets to tango fire. part of the whitebird dance series in Portland. I am in black wool trousers, a black velvet  crop top with a boat neck, pearls ( three strands from my mama) matching earrings, a mikkimoto bracelet from ebay and an adorable pair of black velvet shoes on which I attached black satin brocade flowers I made myself.  I even blew my hair dry and added............. er ............um.........product. way to go girl you say right?

Since it's not going to rain I even get to wear my mink  coat- Blackglama- not that I am a legend in anyone's mind other than my own.

Should I add a spritz of Joy parfum or Ombre Rose? I'll let the spousal unit decide.

Yay!!  It's the Canada Day long weekend!

So what's happening?  FUN!!  :)

I'm going swimming, having a bbq, going to see the RCMP Musical Ride (which I've never seen before), going downtown to partake in the awesome festivities of my nation's capital, AND I'm going to have an unobstructed view of the fireworks!  I'll be able to see them from the time they leave the ground!  I also have a maple leaf stamp and red ink (temp body tatoo stuff) so I can be decked out in our flag.  :)

If you've never been in downtown Ottawa for Canada Day, you're really missing out.  There's an awesome energy from the bazillion people roaming around.  They close a whole chunk of downtown to traffic because it's completely filled with people. There are buskers everywhere and you can buy tons of crazy things from the street vendors.  It's really fun. There are also concerts and shows and tons of other stuff that happen on parliament hill.  They were building a screen and backdrop and I could see it from work it was so huge.

So anyway, that's what I'm going to do today.

I hope everyone else out there has even a quarter of the amount of fun that I'm going to have today!!
