Ferrets @ MindSay

To get to know ya'll better......

Just to get to know some of ya'll better:

If you have pets,

1.  How many pets do you have and what kind?

2.  Did you get your pet(s) from a shelter, a breeder, a friend, or a store?

3.  Do you feel that your pets are part of your family?

4.  How much do you spend each month on your pet(s) - food, insurance, vet visits, boarding, etc....

5.  If you have a picture, please post it :)  My Stormy cat is in my picture on top

6.  Do you own a pet that you never thought you could like?  Like if you only liked dogs but then you got a cat, you all the sudden preferred cats over dogs.

My answers:

1.  I have 3 cats.  Storm, Tornado, and my dad's old cat, Beauty

2.  Stormy and Tornado came from a shelter (Chris found them sitting in a cage near the back on her way to the bathroom - we found her Mo the ferret the same day.  Mo had to ride home in the back of the SUV because he was too stinky for my nose. LOL).  We took Tornado home that night and my dad's girlfriend got Stormy the next week.  Beauty came from a breeder.

3.  My cats are absolutely part of my family.  I would face harm to protect my cats.

4.  Monthly, I spend $70 on dry and wet cat food and treats combined.  I also have them covered by VPI Pet Insurance at $50 per month (taken out of my paycheck).  They get routine yearly vet visits that cost between $80 - $160 depending on what shots they need that year.

5.  Stormy is pictured on my page:  Here's Tornado:

6.  I love dogs alot but once I got my own cats, I realized that they are easier to manage and I prefer them over dogs now.

"hey bodybag"

So now that we have Willie Nelson...

...and I like him so much and have learned not to be scared of his face...

...I want another one. :D

If it's black, it's name will be Bodybag.

If it's sable, it's name will be Astroturf.

If it's white/silver...hmm...maybe it's name will be Bodybag anyway. Heh.

So, if anyone out there needs a home for a ferret, send them my way.

Jobs!?

Cal and I both applied at Walmart, and we already both have interviews, and we only applied yesterday night!

I am a bit less stressed about money now :D

Cal is also looking into getting a cheaper four-door car, amazing :D

We now have two cats, one dog, three ferrets, three fish, and five bunnies!

Time to read a book :D

Hump Day :O

My mom moved out of town, so now Cal and I have her beautiful kitten, and just today I introduced her to the ferrets, Turbo loves her so much!! (The kitten's name is Esmerelda, but we call her Ezi)

I'm alone at my house, with the exception of all the pets, trying to figure out who I want to hang out with today ><

I met my dad for lunch though, I think we have a really good relationship, since I moved out of my parents house, I think I have a better relationship with them than ever :)  My mom is gambling in Minnesota today, lol, she's up 16$ :D:D

Yesterday I was helping a customer, a bride to be, more specifically, pick out some bridal shoes and also shoes for her bridesmaids, and when I was ringing her out, the survey printed out at the bottom of the receipt and I gave her the shpeal about if she calls the number and says nice things about me that she would get 2$ off her next purchase, and to that she said, "Why wouldn't I say nice things about you?  You've been more than helpful!"

Ahh, that made my day :D

Whew!

Almost had a dead ferret on my hands, I went down to feed and water the ferrets, and Hera came with me, which I thought nothing of, but I also didn't know that she viewed ferrets as a food source!!

I reached into the cage to give the ferrets food, and they got excited and Arwen started to come out of the cage and was grabbed by Hera, and Arwen gave a surprised squeak, and when Hera opened her mouth, prepared to close it and eat Arwen, I grabbed Hera fully by the scruff, while yelling and closing my hand around Arwen so Hera couldn't get the pit's death grip going.  I shut the cage hard and yelled at Hera, leading her out of the room and closing the door, checking Arwen for broken bones or the like, but no blood, nothing, and Arwen is still happy as could be, and still pretty excited, I'm not sure she knows how close she came to being dog food!

So, uh...who wants ferrets?
