Go rent this movie and see it. It's fucking crazy. It's a grotesque, shocking, crime-thriller documentary about how Phil Jackson (Jack Thompson), a veteran of cyberporn investigations, discovers his sickest case yet when he discovers a sinister side to an American website devoted to fat-admiring men and obese women called "feeders" and "gainers".
This movie's intense. It'll make you never want to eat again.
. . . because you've got nothing better to do than to help feed the poor. Pass it on. =) "A food-linked word game put on the Internet a month ago has proved a runaway success and has already generated enough rice to feed 50,000 people, the United Nations World Food Program said Friday. FreeRice offers participants multiple-choice definitions to the meaning of a word, with each correct click generating 10 grains of rice for the WFP. The brainchild of American online fund-raising pioneer John Breen, the Web site FreeRice.com relies on advertising revenue to underwrite its rice campaign. "The site is a viral marketing success story with more than 1 billion grains of rice donated in just one month to help tackle hunger worldwide," said Josette Sheeran, executive director of the Rome-based WFP. On October 7, the day it was launched, just 830 grains of rice were donated. But the Internet community quickly caught on, and on November 8 alone 77 million grains were donated--equivalent to more than 7 million correct clicks."

LIGHT TO LIFE MINISTRIES
| A CHURCH FOR THE COMMUNITY A RE-ENTRY PROGRAM FOR THE EX- 0FFENDER HOPE FOR OUR CITY In 1986 we felt God was calling us into the ministry. Our desire was to reach the lost and hurting. Over the last 20 years God has so added to the vision all along the way. We have stepped out in faith and obedience in fear of God when it wasn’t necessarily the path that we would have chosen. God has always prepared us for each new step and venture. We have ministered to adults of all ages, even in our early days going to a nursing home. We have spent years ministering to children, holding children’s church on Sunday and going to kids or family camps. As God pruned us more, He sent us into the prisons to minister starting in the summer of 2000. We have seen a mighty move of God in the facilities. We have always had a heart for outreach and ministering to the down and outers. In 2004 God birthed a vision in us to develop a re-entry program for ex-offenders. In January 2007 we acquired the first house for the program. In December 2006 we started a church that the program will operate out of. We are currently meeting at Irving Elementary School the first and third Saturday evenings at 6:oo p.m. We are looking at a permanent location close by. We are reaching out into the surrounding community by meeting people at their point of need. We have a clothing and food ministry. We provide groceries for families and sack lunches for the homeless. We encourage anyone desiring a place to get plugged in, to come and worship with us and be a part of reaching this community. God will use those who are willing to be used! One of my first challenges is to look into fixing some now-broken links in my iTunes feed for The RuckuS. As thos of you who follow my little show know, I released a new episode on December 31st. As those of you who graciously subscribe to my show via iTunes know, that new show (along with select others) is still not showing up there.
Arrgh!
I suspect that these technical difficulties are being caused by the so-called new-and-improved version of Blogger. I was having no issues until I switched over to that from their Beta version, and then some new and improved error messages began appearing and now I can't switch back, so I'll have to wait for them to work out the bugs in their bug free system.
But never fear, dear listeners - I've got a backup plan. My apologies that any of you would need to make these adjustments, but I'm not quite sure what else to do.
If you currently subscribe (or wish to subscribe) to the show via iTunes, check out this link. If you have iTunes installed on your computer, click on the "Subscribe with iTunes" button - this should launch the program automatically and instruct you further how to add the feed to your podcast list. If you don't use iTunes, the same link will display alternate formats by which to subscribe.
If you'd rather just listen without downloading anything, the same link provides the means to add my feed to your favorite RSS reader, such as Google or Yahoo. (I personally love using the Google Reader for this - it brings up a mini-player right on your screen where you can pause, ff, or rewind the shows as well as a link below the player for downloading entire episodes.) And, of course, at the top of the page, there's the standard RSS feed link just for you.
The subtle differences between this feed and my main feed are these - one, this feed's description file will always point you to whatistheruckus.com for the "Nutrition Facts" of the show and two, this feed will not be found via the iTunes store.
If you have any questions, please let me know. Again, I'm sorry for these hassles. Please know that I still plan to post a direct link to each episode on my blog here when I release new content so you always have the option to ignore all of this technical mumbo jumbo and just download the episode directly.
Thanks for your support.
