Hi Guys

I spent such a nice time here in MO. This is a second week and it is going to be forever as I can stay here.

I tried to find a new job online and another way. I got to meet such a nice people at church and somebody around here. This town is small and is not busy as in Virginia or California.

I have to adjust myself to eating American food. Here does not have Asian food. They have just only two place of Chinese restaurant. I went there another day to apply a job. I can do anything now because I need a job hehehe!!!

Yesterday, I went eating dinner with both of a friendly host family since I was an exchange student here. They pick me up and right ahead to Off a hook restaurant. We sat down and talked about how come did I move here? All they were very nice and one of them bought Thai food for me. I said" Thank you to them several time."

I disguss with my boyfriend that we might go back to that restaurant again when he come down here. I would try some fish menu again...

Today is such a great day for me. I am ok that I have to wait for awhile for a new job. I hope and pray with God a lot..

I will let yu guys know again.

Fast Food Reality
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

There is a website where a guy reviews fast food and also compares the advertisment for the greasy treats that are peddled by McDonalds, Burger King and the like with the harsh reality of what these things look like in real life.
Let me tell ya something...I like fast food as much as the next artery clogged American taxpayer but some of this stuff looks like nasty as hell.
Most notably that KFC Famous Bowl that looks like something my dog threw up.

another corporate lie
I have a sort of love/hate relationship with fast food. I love how fast, cheap and yummy it is, I hate all the artificial crap, and how fattening it is. I also hate how it takes advantage of the underprivledged throughout the globe.
The worst of these is, of course, Mickey-D's. (Read the book Fast Food Nation or see the documentary Supersize Me.) I try not to eat there.
The thing is, lately they have been trying to dumb-down the image of an evil fast food company. They have been introducing "healthy" stuff  and promoting active lifestyles.
But, guess what, they are just more corporate lies.
Example: my mom, who is always trying to maintian her weight, buys their chicken wrap thingies all the time thinking that it is  healthier then other stuff on the menu.  She ussually will order that with a small fries and a water or Diet Coke.
She, unfortunately, has been tricked into the common misconception that chicken is alway healthy. Has anyone actually looked at the fat content of that stuff?  The chicken wraps at McDonald's actually has more fat and calories then a regular cheeseburger. If you get it grilled instead of fried it still has more fat and the same amount of calories as the hamburgers.
McDonald's  knows that most people assume that chicken is healthy (and in most cases it is, it depends on how it's prepared, among other things) and uses it to lie and make even more money,
Interesting, huh?

Being checked out at Checkers

Today I went to Macy*s and got a $50 shirt for $17 bucks. There were better savings on other things but I really liked this shirt and I have some shoes that match it exactly. Then I sprinted across the mall to my car and drove to PBCC to take my midterm test. I think I did o.k. not sure really. Then as I was driving home from the campus, I got the urge to go to Target. Amazingly enough, I didnt find one article of clothing or shoes I wanted purchase. However, just as I was about to leave I spotted the most adorable bra and was kinda shocked because I normally hate Target bras. Originally $17, it was 4 bucks on sale. Remind me to take a pic ya'll.

Well currently there's no food in the house so I then decided to go to Checkers. This guy tried to hit on me while I went through the drive thru o.o

it wasnt anything major but I pull up and he's like "you're not from here" and I'm like "uh, yeah." so then he asks me how I'm doing, and I say fine. He pauses and then asks me if he'll "see me again" as I got my food from him. I said I seldom eat fast food and then I drove off.

not very exciting, but that's alright ^_^

love, Angel
