In this week’s episode of Doctor Who, the title role of "The Doctor’s Daughter" is being played by the adorable actress Georgia Moffett. There is much speculation about where this mysterious insta-child sprang from. Nevermind the plot (or probably lack thereof) here is what has me full of fangirl glee-
In real life, her father is Peter Davison. He played the fifth incarnation of The Doctor.
Her mother is Sandra Dickinson. She played Trillian in the BBC tv version of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. (AKA the tv series of DOOM!!)
You may not be aware of this, but Trillian is one of my all time favorite fictional characters. Learn something new every day, dontcha?
So, this makes the actress playing the Doctor’s daughter the real daughter of The Doctor and Trillian.
Someone may have once said something to me about not confusing fiction and reality, but I don't think I was listening at the time.
I’m not even going to watch the episode, because nothing the writers can dream up can possibly compare with that lineage.
