30 hours famine

This was a wonderful and memorable experience for me.I was glad that i have food to eat, a place to sleep,water to drink, education and more than what i could think of.

Lulu, thank you for inviting me to participate in this programme. The moment i will not forget for the rest of my life was the hours we were queuing to get water. How lucky are we today for us access to get water! Sympathy those famine and able to understand what they had.

Feast-broken Famine
Over the past 33 hours (the famine ended at six), I've learned a few very valuable lessons.  Most of which are not PG-13.  But then, a few were, like a) don't try to sell girl guide cookies on four hourse of sleep, b) don't participate in the famine if you're ill to begin with, and c) little sisters can actually be good company.  Naw, I'm just kidding about the last one--I knew it before we went.  Just don't tell her I said so!
 
 
   
 

I feel so guilty.

All the recent buzz about the crisis in Niger is making me feel incredibly guilty. Please don't get me wrong, I'm SO GLAD that word is finally getting out about what's going on there, because the US is incredibly egocentric and completely unaware of what's going on out there (out there being the remainder of the world). And it was ENTIRELY preventable if people actually gave a damn. But that's a whole other rant entirely.

I'd love to send money...but I need to buy books for college. Which makes me feel very guilty. I need my college books, but I certainly won't die without them. I wish I could go there and help them, but it's just not an option for me. And it makes me feel terrible. While I'm here having the time of my life in the richest country in the world, babies and children are

Seriously, though - if we treated our animals with the same amount of care as we're affording the people of Niger, we'd be slammed with a felony animal cruelty charge. This is humanity we're talking about. Children who can't even open their mouths to drink, whose eyes have to be held open with tape because they don't have enough life in them to open their own eyes. And to think, if people had paid attention to what was going on it would've been preventable. That makes me so sad, and feeling guilty that I can't do more right now.

 
 
 

   
Waking Up
OH my God, I'm out of Tea!

How could this happen? I mean, I have other types of tea, and herbal tea, but My English Breakfast Tea is gone. Upso. Vamanos. Sir Not Appearing In This Film.

All used up, apparently.

I suppose that is what I get for allowing my wife and eldest daughter to make my tea, daily, and then taking their kindness for granted. It'll get you every time, folks!

I've not even had my first cup, yet. Damnit.

This really doesn't deserve a blog spot, but this is a minor crisis for this morning. Food poisoning yesterday, a tea famine today. What the hell is this, some kind of dietary tribulation?

If you don't eat your meat, how can you have any pudding? How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?!

And I'll be damned if I'm going to buy it at our small-town grocery nazis who double the price of everthing because they can.
