Fake Plastic Radio @ MindSay

One of MindSay's user-produced radio shows is coming back!  Check out the fakeplastcradio blog for the details.

One of our pet parrots, Bubba, died yesterday. We didn't know about it until my mom went in to feed them and found Bubba on his stomach at the bottom of his cage. It's terrible because with everything that we all have to do everyday they get very little attention. I mean, we now have 2 dogs (with one being a semi-trained puppy) and 3 cats to look after. We also have to keep the parrots in the back computer room because of the dust they secrete (I'm allergic to it) and because Big Bird (the 2nd parrot, still alive) is one noisy creature. I just hope that he didn't die because of something we weren't doing...

The good thing is that he was with us for a very very long time.  My Dad had him for 26 years and he always had been a great deal of fun to have as a pet.



In other news, my birthday is coming up and I've also got a nice plump paycheck coming in next Friday.  Before too long I should be able to get a 360.  Been wanting one for a few months now.  With so many great games it's hard to overlook it.

FAKE PLASTiC RADiO is still alive but it's been in the corner for several months now.  Too much stuff to deal with, what with school and work, and now a new puppy... the most I could put out is a 10 minute music episode... not worth it to me.

I'll probably try and do an update at least... to give all my listeners something new in their podcast folder.

Well.  Gotta get to work on my room.  It's a mess.  Have a nice day.

Sorry I have not updated in a few days... to those who actually check this thing regularly.

Here's a list of things I will be doing soon that involves MindSay:

1) FAKE PLASTiC RADiO will be revived via mouth-to-mouth sometime in the near future.  FPRadio slipped into a pool unsupervised sometime around June and started drowning.  I pulled it out of the pool but I haven't had time to resuscitate it.  Soon though...

2) The Best Album of 2006 Poll will be coming soon!  I started this last year and it was really fun.  I just wish more people had voted.  But people are lazy, including me.  It still worked though.  I'm hoping it will work even better now.  Basically once voting opens, any user on MindSay can come by here to Nominate an album for votes.  The Top 10 Nominations will then be posted so that you can then vote on those.  Once the Top 10 Nominees have been voted for, I tally the votes and post the results.  Last year Beck's "Guero" won, and Coldplay's "X&Y," John Mayer Trio, and System of a Down's "Mezmerize" and "Hypnotize" were in the 4 positions after.

3) We may be buying a family videocamera soon to film family trips and stuff like that, and when it's not being used to film family trips and family stuff, I'll be using it to start making vlogs and other random tidbits some of you may find fascinating.


But right now I have to get back to schoolwork.  I have a Psychology paper on "The Euphoric Effect of Music" and a Film paper on the wonderful director David Lynch to write, both due no later than Wednesday.

Thursday we'll be leaving for Atlanta to catch our 10:30 flight to LA.  Due to our extremely generous Uncle, we'll be flying first class both ways.  We get to LA Thursday and will stay until the 20th.  We will then fly back to Atlanta to go spend a couple days (including Thanksgiving) at my other Uncle's house with family.

I'll definitely be taking lots of pictures along the way, and maybe even some video, so look forward to that.
