Please Lord give me strength to make it through the next 3 weeks until school starts.

Please give me the patience to overlook the 3 slugs (aka my kids) who are imprisoned in the house because it’s literally a burning hell (temp wise) outside. 

Please give me the fortitude to stay on their asses regarding cleaning up after themselves instead of doing it myself.

Please give me Zen to overlook the fact that I haven’t been alone in 2 ½ months.

Please give me perseverance in this parenting endeavor I’ve embarked on because I’m ready to throw in the towel. 

Please give me optimism that things will get better… in about 3 weeks.  

Please grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change (4 very different personalities trapped inside a becoming smaller and smaller house).  The courage to change the things I can (my attitude, I’m putting on my happy face).  And the wisdom to know the difference (and the peace that comes with knowing the end is near-only 3 more weeks!!!) 

Thank you Lord.   

I don't even know what the fuck i'm doing anymore. What am I thinking? who fucking cares. three more weeks of this hell, two more weeks of another hell, then three months of what will hopefully be a break that i can escape from just as easily in december. then i'm back to what, this? for a year and a half before i can even apply for grad school? I need a metamorphisis, i need a steady job, i need to remember HOW MUCH FUCKING HAPPIER I AM ALONE! Anna is right: "I don't wanna go back to my life." That's the problem.

Despite a meticulously executed plan, an Australian orangutan was apparently on the fence about her great escape.

Officials evacuated the zoo after 27-year-old Karta short-circuited an electric fence by jamming a stick into wires connected to it. She then piled up debris to climb a concrete and glass wall.

Veterinarians stood by armed with tranquilizer guns just in case. But her run for it was short-lived. After sitting on the fence for about 30 minutes she climbed back into her enclosure.

The zoo describes Karta as "ingenious" and says she's tried to outsmart her keepers in the past.

Because of her brazen escape attempt, officials plan to clear her enclosure of any vegetation she could use in the future for another bid for freedom...

When I was 17 years young (and that was a bit of long ago) I ran into a patrol of soldiers dragging people off the streets for work in a forced labor camp up in some hills in Cebu Province in the Philippines.The time was during the Japanese occupation.

My mother warned me about leaving the house for any reason at all. The year was 1944.American dive bombers from aircraft carriers had already made bombing runs over Cebu City. The largest target the American war planes virtually smashed to smithereens was the San Carlos College building. That was an eternity ago. The short of it is that I escaped from the camp and by the grace of God lived to be 82 years old which is how old I am at present (May 12, 2008).

That incident was probably the greated adventure of my entire life. When I was captured no one, from the camp of those who captured me, bothered to take down my name and address. That omission was my great blessing. I did not live a hunted life after my escape.

I gave thanks to God and His mother, theVirgin Mary for my escape. What if I did not excape? The thought is frigtening. I'd rather not think about it. But I praise and thank God and His and our mother, Mama Mary..

It comes to the surface and slowly starts to sting.
