The country I live in, the country I was born in, the country I love and keep coming back to, is a lie.

 

We have billboards up all over the place: "Keep our country green and pristine!" "This is our land! Keep it Clean!" Great words, good show. We have those fancy enviriomental acts and agencies and private companies and charities, all aimed at making a 'greener' world. The vast majority of citizens here believe in this and commend these wonderful people for what they're doing. But don't recycle or limit themselves.

 

We have protests and riots all the time of the economical situation and trials. People running their mouths about how the government isn't giving them enough money. Government officials put forward bills that might cost us a little in the short term but could really help. And our people praise them! But don't give any money.

 

We have parenting groups running around screaming about the number of children born out of wedlock never knowing who their father is. Complaining how they don't have money for school supplies and the like. But don't stop popping out the babies.

 

And its not just here. I've lived in the States. We are a Bare Minimum society. We blame our government but rarely do our parts. Its almost like we all believe, for ourselves, that the 'great' idea to try to conserve fuel, reuse what we can and recycle is all for someone else to do. For the government to do. But if the government did try to limit our gas or whatever, we'd have hissy fits. If the government doesn't do that and we all fall further into the economic hole and waste our natural resources, its the government's fault.

 

Its a two-way street people.  And in countries as large as the US, its more like a highway.

This is going in my demoreel for the end of the year, I haveto show it to the rest of my class at a meeting tomorrow. I'm quite proud of it really. There's soem touching up to do, but it should work out nicely.

So... Bottled water is... banned!!?

I'm big on helping the environment and all but... this is a little ridiculous. It's ludicrous!! Why not ban soft drink bottles or something. Water isn't toxic. (unless it comes from the severs!!) More are consumed and it's be a step toward taking care of two of the world's problems.

I should really rethink indulging in the pineapple smuggling business. You think bottled water is expensive now? Wait until you have to buy your water bottles on the black market. When bottled water is outlawed, only outlaws will sell water bottles.

I've been concerned over what's happening with our planet. If only we humans could get along and somehow fix it (yeah right). Anyway, here's the link to the report:

It's me again with a special report about the decaying enviroment. I'm going to be providing you with links related to this topic and my opinion about it. I hope you like it and leave a comment if you like!

I watcted 'Too Hot Not To Handle' on HBO and that got me thinking about global warming, hybrid cars, E85, ethanol, greenhouse gases, and other forms of alternative energy. We should work together and not fight but that's an obvious one. Put down the weapons and at least try to help others with the planet. I read that the water level has risen, causing more hurricanes and tsunamis than ever before. Do we need to burn expensive fuel from other countries? We could just live green, go yellow. I'm going to try to help the enviroment somehow and I might need some other people to help me. What if I started something small....like maybe some sort of petition. The idea for it is still forming but when I think of it, I'll make sure to post it. I think we need to stop the global warming before it ends up destroying us sooner than later. We can achieve something with enough teamwork and willpower. Is anyone with me? You don't have to be. I just want to save the environment, that's all.
