More Mayan Info - Movie Featuring the Mayans Coming!
Well I meant to add more quotes on the Mayan stuff I posted the other day (I got busy with work - yay! and just haven't been able to get back to it yet!) I will get back to it for now with this little tidbit - a friend shared a link to a movie that's coming out in April that really gets into the subject! It features some Mayan decendants , shaman who have some important messages to share about their traditions and apparently some information that the rest of the world hasn't been ready to hear - until now!
It's interesting stuff and I can't wait to see this movie. I'll share the link to the website promoting the movie with you and you can go and do your own exploring in the meantime!
The Movie is called The Shift Of The Ages the website address is: http://www.shiftingages.com in case you want to cut and paste by yourself. It looks eye-opening and I bet will have some incredible imagery as well as the information itself! In Joy, Enjoy!
I'm happy to share that link with you all and hope it tickles your interest!
That's it from me for now cause I've got to get busy with final preparations for a nice dinner I'm planning for John and it won't be long before he's home - a friend just called to say, "John's on his way!"
It's my birthday and I know he's got something up his sleeve! I never worry or fret or get angry when he's late 'cause I know there's always a reason for it. Besides, most of the time we can honestly say we "know" what the other is thinking. If there was trouble or problems on his mind I'd know, even at a distance - but I know he's running late because he's "up to something" and it's just so cool 'cause what I'd planned for dinner will "keep" just fine until he's here! I also got the word from the same friend to plan to get together with friends this weekend so it sounds as though the full moon weekend - with a full lunar eclipse occuring and fully visible in south western Ontario is going to mark a remarkable weekend for us! And for now if I can I'll share a little light with you, I couldn't get the cake in through the wires - so sorry - but at least the light can shine! Enjoy! In Joy!
I decided to use some formal text and made this into a birthday greeting that I can send to others! What fun!
These are a couple of those little molten cakes, the one's with molten chocolate in the middle! Very tasty!

February 28 - While the Garden's still sleeping...
While the garden is still sleeping I thought I'd start getting this page ready. I'm designing it to be the more aptly named companion to my website; Our Enchanted Garden
This blog will follow the days in the garden as they progress and provide updated information on activities at least twice every week, including a slideshow, a photo or a video. This will add to the dynamic quality of my website, giving a hands-on real time feel to it - even in cyberspace. This has been a dream of mine - I'm thrilled to be able to get all the elements together to make it a reality! And with the spring equinox approaching I'll be able to highlight the entire season as we go!
Hope you'll agree!
The next phase, (sometime in 2008, hopefully!) will bring forward the opportunity for people to physically visit in the garden - but until that work is ready for viewing this will suffice nicely!
My original blog; imcheryl will remain as a repository for my personal musings, explorations and messages. It will still be linked to the website, as a personal blog. The poetry blog luckydragon stands in it's own light, and the rainbowwarrior blog will present material of interest found around the net with a spiritual feel to it; transcripts and channels from various individuals and groups will be highlighted, meditations, prayers and other tools for any gentle warrior of light and love.
Sh-h-h-h! ...the garden is sleeping...

Are we better served to fight, to deceive ourselves or to hear our soul's desire
There's a trend that is sad in many arenas (I say arenas for a reason - you'll see!) resulting in the concentration of energy and in particular - fear - surrounding what are touted as "conspiracy theories". The way the issues are presented are often well intended but poorly presented causing FAR MORE fear than anything else. The fear often seems to depress and paralyse people (re: "what can I do, I'm just one person, I'm not a scientist" or "I have no power to fight against these wrong doers" etc.) or - EVEN FAR WORSE - the stories raise anger in people and that seems to promote a sense of urgency that leads, often times, to senseless panic, violence and aggression. Again all well intentioned but skewed in ugly ways.
A great recent example would be to consider what happened in the arctic seas when Japanese whalers rescued Greenpeace activists floundering in their dinghy only to then be attacked and "accidentally" injured by the same people they had rescued. I have trouble "in my heart" supporting activists no matter the honour of their making protest through their convictions when they resort to tactics that cause harm to another. And I don't buy into justifications - "people won't listen if we don't make a BIG statement..."
Sorry but in my mind and in my heart - if people aren't listening - then the protestors, or those attempting to sway public opinion aren't applying enough creative thinking to their missions, their actions or their messages.
IMHO- Believing we have to "fight for" anything already misses the point altogether. It only plays into old world methods and will not be fully successful.
In that light; wars against tyranny, inhumane treatments, disease, unhealthy drug abuse, illiteracy and other equally important issues all fail, ultimately, because we believe we need to fight them.
I find it interesting that one conspiracy theory raises the issue about war and the weather... Yup - there's been plenty of talk - going back to Tesla's day about how we can control the weather and about how various countries, among them Russia, China and the US are experimenting with weather control and apparently using this in covert actions and, it's suggested, as a means to control overpopulation etc.
But even before that issue bubbled up in human conscious awareness we already had a problem - our societies have already considered the weather and mother nature something we are at war with - something we can't control - something that is somehow against us. Forgeting that even though the weather can really pack a punch, can often be devastating in it's effect on populations. (Course where we choose to build our cities and live our livescontributes to this) where people tend to "gather" doesn't help this. Why don't we consider nature in those processes when ideally we truly are better served to think in connection with our earth and her patterns in all things we do! We instead find ourselves in our modern, civilized, intelligent, modern world fighting the weather to commute to daily jobs, to build things, to reach delivery deadlines, to grow crops even! Our ancient forefathers and mothers knew better, they were better connected with their natural world. It was more natural for them to listen to their inner guidance - to "go within" - as well as observing nature's clues to assist them in coping and moving forward in their daily lives an their evolution!
Our modern way of thinking about the world we are immersed in,(in particular by overlooking - even denying our intimate connection with the natural world) in addition to our separation from our own inner dialogue with our hearts and our heartfelt desires seems to leave us feeling weak and bewildered, frustrated, angry, dis-heartened, separate, depressed, overwhelmed... It sends some people seeking outwardly for solutions, for answers, and to devising actions they hope might address all these perceived problems.
I sense that finding ways of helping people re-connect their broken, (or ignored may be a better description,) inner communication link is tantamount, to the work that people referring to themselves as lightworkers are engaged in. Doing so without an alarmist style seems, to me, equally tantamount. Sounding off alarmist bells does all of human kind - and our natural world - a true disservice. How might these workers accomplish this? By a variety of people around the world who are following their heart, who do have that connection, simply continuing to do what they do best.
As hard or painful as it appears to be they can't "save the world" overnight, even though they might save themselves. Until average people, worldwide, pick up the energy, their internal messages, themselves - until the ideas can break through the general populations' almost incessant self deception, dis-heartened navel gazing, inherrent fear and anger that seems to boil below the surface of their conscious actions..., things will continue to appear chaotic and unfortunate in the outward world.
I'm confident we can get through this one stage of our evolution. What may be difficult to swallow for many is that it is still only one step - our evolution won't stop once we've solved war and peace issues or poverty issues or political issues. Patience, even for lightworkers and acceptance of how our natural lives will unfold as they should, unlocks the door from the seeming prison we placed ourselves in long ago - the viel that separates us from our own internal knowing, the lifting of which is something our own souls are crying for - literally sobbing in some cases for resolution of - yet where we will go from here is wide open and will continue to evolve as we do.
To me this is an exciting and expansive idea; Once realizing that even when we're in contact with each other in heart to heart connections, and begin to recognize non-physical life forms and consciousnesses - even our own multi-faceted selves, from other dimensions, we will still not know all the answers. And there's the beauty - the path will still reveal itself as we step along it, but not before... so we just need to step along the path of our lives and trust... The rest we can and will enjoy as an unfolding the same way a bud enjoys bursting into it's flowering glory and yet still changes and then forms fruit and seeds!!!!
Life, unending in it's wonder! Living it naturally, in rythmn with our earth and our fellow beings. Can humans be comfortable being there and continuing to pursue our dreams and heart throbbings? Can we help ourselves and others in not losing heart in our quest to find joy in our lives? This helps me see why many predictions are suggesting many souls will choose to leave this life, even suddenly, with a sense of "okay we're here and now I'm ready to choose something else" and their decisions - honoured, in their transitions, by the rest of us rather than used as more reasons to "fight" may be one of the most telling of whether we've been successful as lightworkers!!!!!

Sun Dog after the storm heralds the birth of my new grandaughter Rachael!
Happy to share this much about a recent eventful morning; just so you all get a feel for just a wee portion of the incredible and magical experiences that I have been blessed with of late. I wrote this at a photo sharing site I work with;
Sun Dog after the storm heralds the birth of my new grandaughter Rachael!
While I was waiting for the bus on my way to a "temp" work assignment I noticed this gorgeous sun dog rainbow. I was so glad I had my camera with me. This was the morning after a significant Valentine's snowstorm swept through our region and then headed east! It was a very cold and crisp morning, the birds were singing beautifully and loudly and I could even hear a woodpecker pecking away in the distance - as if all knew there was something beautiful about the day!
Old Native legend suggests that sundogs are considered an announcement of the expected arrival of someone important . In my case that was so true, my 2nd grandaughter, Rachael ("Rainbow" - my nickname for her now!) was born not 20 minutes after this was taken!
She was born at 8:58 am, February 15th, weighing in at 8lbs 3 ozs. Mom and baby are home now and doing very well. Vanessa, my 1st grandaughter, is thrilled to be Rachael's Big Sister and just love's her little sister! Sorry I can't share photo's (a promise I made to my daughter and son-in-law,) but there's one of Vanessa holding and kissing her baby sister that is just so touching - I'm sure you can imagine the photo and the joy that's brimming over in the hearts of our families!
Was the rainbow coincidence or divine timing? I think the latter - Of Course!
I should add; when I was shooting this photograph of the Sun Dog I noticed, though you can't tell from this angle - this rainbow appears right over my house! (and another cool coincidence? - Rachael was born while we were still in the year of the Dog - re: chinese calendar!)
Blessed BE!
I'm a;
and a;
too!
In Love, Peace and Gratitude!

On This Chinese New Year...send China's government a message
On This Chinese New Year...send China's government a message, awaken their sense of fairness!
- make Yourself familiar with the plight of Tibet
- their own New Year is soon to arrive
- let's help them celebrate their own New Year by supporting the petition that asks the Olympic Committe to ensure China ends it's abuses of Tibetian people and Tibetian land.
Here's what I added to the letter that will go to the International Olympic Committee;
Tibet is a beautiful and unique country with an incredible culture. I wish to honour the beautiful people of Tibet and their country and their leader. Just because they are a peace loving, generous and kind people is no reason the world should sit back and allow them to be held hostage by any country, including China. They should be adopted by the UN and allowed to flourish. Their underlying beliefs systems are something the whole world could be well served to preserve and learn from. Blessings to the gentle people of Tibet. May the world hold her in it's bossom and protect her people's rights. Long live Tibet! May their prayers hung high atop the world be answered in the best and highest good for all of earth's people! May I have a chance someday to visit her high mountains and pristine lakes, to enjoy salty yak butter tea with her gentle people and chant high above the world in prayer for peace to our earth in a free Tibet!
(there was a time we all spoke similar words for South Africa - this is not an impossible dream!)
Please sign the petition, linked below, and become part of the beginning of a solution for a beautiful people and the beautiful lands where they live! If you aren't certain of Tibet's beauty, go to http://Flickr.com and perform a search under the word "Tibet" and you will be asounded at the beautiful photographs available to view there!
I URGE YOU ALL! Click the link below, sign the petition and leave your positive and affirming message! Make your thoughts known to the organization that can help to make a difference for Tibet.

It takes nothing but a bit of your time that might make a big difference in the lives of many in one of the most sacred and highest places on the face of our planet. To know Tibet and her people is to love them and the land they cherish. Help them and their leader - the Dalai Lama - to free Tibet!
May Peace be in China - May Peace Be in Tibet - May Peace Prevail On Earth!
